Great show, I was a kid when it came on and most jokes I'm sure went over my head at the time. Still very enjoyable and the intro always takes me home. I found the chords to that song online somewhere and love to play the song when I can.

I don't associate Norman Lear with this show, I remember Charles, Burrows and Charles. But, the characters and scripts were just enjoyable. I agree it wasn't as good after Shelley Long left, I never detected any sexual tension between Sam and anyone except Diane. Still funny, though. My favorite line and one I often repeat: " Hey, what's shakin' Norm? " " Four cheeks and a couple of chins. Beer please, Woody. "

The last Norman Lear show. Entertaining, with interesting characters. Got a little old, and lost it's spice when Diana left.
