Gave up a lot of homers, but as tboneya noted, he hardly ever walked anyone. Won 20 or more each year from 67-72 with the Cubs, plus 25 in '74 with Texas, a HOF pitcher who wound up with over 280 wins. Also played briefly with the Red Sox in 76 and 77 before being ousted in a trade for a faceless minor leaguer of no discernible talent because dumbass Don Zimmer didn't like him.Went on to win 18 in '78, the year the Sox lost in the Dent game. Zimmer, the Gerbil, as Bill Lee memorably nicknamed him, is beloved by a lot of baseball fans around the country, but in N.E. his name is anathema. Nice move Gerbil.
