They had one "hit" that didn't even do that well and have we heard anything else from them, NO! These shows are a load of crap!

I don't really get it. Why is it these people go through all that crap and humiliation to think theyre gonna be popstars just to find out in the end they only make one c.d and are never heard from again???

This is the most pathetic and stupid teenybopper targeted show. It's obvious tagline is: "Popstar" is a show that demonstrates how us big corporations manipulate your naive teenage minds into buying this fabricated POP crap from us!"

I was apprehensive at first, considering how horrible MakingtheBand was... and also how horrible O-Town is. But I'm glad I watched it b/c these girls really were talented and now I am a super-huge fan of Eden's Crush.

These girls are definately more talented than the O-Town boys but I like the MTV style of "Making the Band" better.

The show was absolutely terrible. None of the girls were choosen because of their singing ablities it was all about their looks. The episode that most disgusted me was during auditions a over weight girl sang, and she was great; however one of the judges ( the redhaired sickly, bitch) said come one she is not popstar material! The show was seen by many little girls and is not a good influence on them, we need to teach our children that talent not looks is what it takes to be succeful in life!

This show is cool, it made me laugh during some of the auditions, and it was interesting to see what kinds of things girls would be put through once picked for a real chance at stardom.

The show is on WPIX which isn't as popular as ABC. These are girls between 22 and 24 who are in a band and finally had their dreams come true. I think for young girls, they send a message, that you can achieve whatever you want to. For someone 25 like me, I think that the groups longevity is limited, because four young women, all wanting to shine and be in the spotlite is hard. Sort of like the "Spice Girls" and "Supremes". I wish them well in their success.

This show is HORRIBLE. They waste 10 mins at the beginning telling what has happened on EVERY past episode. All show its just horrible girls with horrible voices and lots of crying. DO NOT WATCH THIS.

I watched about 45 minutes of this miserable show. The show exploits the hell out of these wanna-be popstars, and it was just horrible to watch. There was almost NO singing or dancing, no real entertainment, nothing funny - just a horrible soap opera like story with deceitful tactics to crush the hearts of these very talented kids. All in the name of LOW ratings??! Not worth it!!

I really think that its great that they all followed their dreams. Their a big inspriation to me, to follow my dreams. I know that they can make some mistakes while performing, but HEY everyone makes mistakes ALICAT! haha. For example my friend wants to become a singer, and she already has a record deal. They said that when she gets older she will get a chance to become a siger. You see what I am trying to say is that, if she didnt go to that place to get a record deal then she wouldnt have had a chance at all to perform. You see she followed her dream to becoming a singer.

I think that this show is good for some girls b/c i truely believe that this is a dream for most of those girls! - i think that they are courageous for trying and i give them a big applause for them putting themselves in the eye of the press in order to achieve their dreams - however i don't think that i totally agree with the judges, there were a lot of girls there that could really sing, but they turned them down because they were "on the heavier side" or they weren't "good looking" - i know that in this world looks do count to many people but if you want a good sounding group then take those people and have make-up artists work with them or something, don't just give up on them and reject them! - the reasons for the show are mixed up - what is it, having dreams come true, making the kind of music group that most girls can't relate to, what!!?? - they should really be more clear on this subject -i have watched like 3 episodes of this show and i really think that they didn't pick the right girls, they didn't take a lot of girls that definately should have been picked!! - there was some really raw talent there, they should have taken the girls that sing and dance from the heart and went from their instead of taking some of the girls who will just have to learn that - i'm sorry but i don't think that you can learn how to perform from the heart, you can't learn that, i don't know if this group will succeed or not - i know that it will be a huge challenge for the girls but i applaud them for making it this far!! - good luck!!

I'm with alicat on this one, if the girls were there to follow their dreams, all the power to them but what I saw was a show that would make pee-wee hermans day.

I just like the fact that people are willing to drop everything they're doing to follow a dream. They encourage me to do everything I can and not to give up until my dream is met.

Without shows like this truly talented people may never be discovered. OK, so I'm not that happy with the premise of the show, and sure there are a lot really bad performances: and not just from the auditioners. If one person is able given the opportunity to take another step toward their dream, then I think that all the money the network has spent has been worth it ..... well, at least as far as that one person is concerned. (grins)

I would give it a big zero. The popstars are hopeless and cannot sing at all. Te band will be 1 hit wonders.

I really don't know what is more pathetic, this show or the fact that I watched it. My excuse is that I am fascinated by pop culture and how history repeats itself. Well, that is beyond the point and no one wants to hear my excuses. So, I watched this show. It is on the WB after Sabrina the Teenage Witch on Friday nights. If you have seen "Making of the Band," it is essentially the same things except with girls now. So funny. On Friday, it was the first airing of the show so it was just auditions and it was hilarious. These girls, dressed in clothes that made my jaw drop (do people really dress like that? I am embassed for them) and sang in front of everyone. The popular songs were "I will always love you" by Whitney Houston. Now, some girls had good voices but some were so horrible it was humiliating. One girl couldn't even sing. Then there were some ugly and on the "heavy side" girls who had great voices and they had to turn them down because of one reason or another but you knew it was because of the way they looked. So, basically, it is cheesy, embarassing and it had me watching.
