Old fire and brimstone preacher from the tradition-laden Church of God in Christ, a sect which used to declare, and in some instances still does, that women who wear pants and makeup are going to hell, and also if you listen to secular music or go to movie theaters.

Now here is a preacher worth watching. He dishes out the old time religion and is entertaining to boot.

I try to catch Bishop Patterson whenever I can. I usually find him on BET. I first learned of him from "Imus in the Morning."

The bishop does seem to draw good crowds to his services.

Bishop Patterson is about the only "old school" preacher left that still preaches Holiness. Only one thing about the C.O.G.I.C orgnization is that they dont ordain or install women in headship positions

I REALLY ENJOYED WATCHING YOUR SHOW ON SUNDAY MORNING. I WAS BROUGHT UP WITH THE OLD TIME RELIGION! WE NEED MORE PASTORS LIKE YOU ON TV.

A Prophet of God for this day who heads up the church with innovative leadership. FYI He broke the pattern of taking from the church. His annuragural banquet raised over $50,000 which he donated back to the church and subsequently has given generously each year to the general church. He has led the church in declaring the biblical standard even in this wicked day.

Is one of my favorites TV Preachers Plus he is The only Black TV Preacher as far as I know who actually preaches the gospel and even mentions how corrupt the church has gotten and how the church is obsessed with money more than saving souls or helping people repent or helping putting treasures in Heaven.

An awesome man of God, who has said that the church is to caught up in the whole money thing. I heard it with my own ears. He's genuine.

Bishop Patterson is the finest leader COGIC has ever had. He is innovative-thoughtful-furnished in the word and humble. Only thing I think I should mention is that he shoud not be in the tv evangelist category because he isnt a tv evangelist he is a Pastor who broadcast his preaching to his church. He is the same as John Hagee, Paula White, Ernest Angley, D. James Kenndey-

Bishop Patterson is the Presiding Bishop of the Church of God In Christ, the largest African-American pentecostal denomination in the world. Bishop Patterson has been preaching since his early teens, and is one of the most scripturally based, and level-headed preachers I have ever heard. He is considered by many to be among the best preachers, white, black, pentecostal, catholic, etc. in the world. I have heard him in person about 5 times and he never dissapoints.
