They're meen, greedy, rich, power-hungry people. If u don't like their views, they'll do any means to harm you. Got it? ... I just hope they keep preaching 'da Lords name while they're getting a trash-bag full of money.

Okay, let me get this straight. An organization that's dedicated to preserving family values and ethics is considered an extremist organization while United for Peace and Justice isn't? I don't see the ACLU on here either. Both of the organizations I've mentioned have a record of being extremist and are known to be counter productive. But nooooo... anything that has the nerve to fight for a religous cause is considered extremist!

To Beloved, Did God personally tell you this? Did he phone you up in the middle of the night and say that to you?I'd come off the amphetamines if I were you. You are confusing Universal Laws with Religious dogma....not the same thing.

Christian coalition isnt against gay and abortion. It is against the breaking of the universal laws set down by GOD. Such as the murder of the innocent and not practicing homosexual sex. There are lots of other things but these are some of the most destructive to a society and happen to be some of the biggest issue out in the open now. Just because you dont agree with what someone does with there life doesnt mean you are against a person. It also doesnt mean you are violating their rights either.

The Christian Coalition is a group of evangelical Protestant Conservatives who seeks to preserve traditional values. It has about 2 million members scattered throughout the United States. Their big issues revolve around promoting religious and family values, laissez-faire economics, support of Israel and school prayer. It opposes abortion, gun control, gay rights and secularism. Never mind that some of these values actually end up contradicting each other. This organization was established in the late-1970's under the name Moral Majority as a reaction to the New Left movements of the 1960's which sought greater secularization of society. It probably was most influential during the 1990's; it played a major role in the Republican Revolution of 1994 which brough a definite rightward slant to the US Congress. As of late, this organization is declining in membership, probably because of disillusionment over the culture wars. I think that this group reacted too extremely to the movement politics of the 1960's. It seems to me that they blur the lines between church and state a bit too much, although I believe equally that the New Left movements probably sought to take religious values out of the public square, thus violating other people's rights. The simple truth is that we need to respect other people's values a bit more. In reality, that is what the constitution guarantees for all of us, the right to freely express our religion and speech. Both sides in the cultures are wrong, but what do you expect from these dogmatic types anyways.
