I should hope so.

Anybody who doesn't already know that sleep aids can cause drowsiness is badly in need of professional help.

Well, what else can one expect from sleep aid medication!? If it causes drowsiness, then it works, doesn't it?? I thought so!!

My post didn't show up, so here goes again...Companies have to say "may" unless the product is FDA regulated, which takes eons to get done. So, in the meantime, they can't say it DOES work, even if it DOES. I'm taking an herbal one that works just fine so far. My mom took Lunesta, but she's a senior citizen, and can't afford it. I got a free sample at info@melosleep.com. I guess you could get your money back if it doesn't work for you, but the sample doesn't cost anything, so that's tricky...

"May"? That doesn't speak very well of the effectiveness of the product.

I can sort of understand why they would put such an instruction on. It is for old people who probably get confused and think of sleeping tablets as being magical where they can take it, stay awake and they automatically fall asleep as soon as they are in bed. This would look really funny on a General Anosthetic container!
Mad Hatter 01/08/2005
Really. I would have never have guessed that something called Sleep Aid would cause drowsiness.
Aurielle 11/28/2004
Well, obviously.
Redoedo 09/06/2004
Thanks for clearing that up. I don't know what else I would expect from a SLEEP aid. Kerry should walk around with one of these warning labels on his forehead.

If it doesn't work, do I get my money back?
muppetlass87 07/15/2004
Sleep aid causes drowsiness?! Who'd have guessed?
kamylienne 04/04/2004
It damn well better, or I want my money back!
tvtator 03/28/2004
I don't want it to cause drowsiness, I want it to put me to sleep!
Molfan 03/28/2004
I hope so. If I fork out bucks for a sleep aid it darn well better work. I would be more irked if it kept me awake and tossed and turned all night.

The obvious point that the manufacturer is trying to make here is that the product may cause drowsiness. That also implies that it may not (i.e., the may leaves room for doubt as to the efficacy of the product). So, if it doesn't make you drowsy, then the manufacturer can claim that you were warned, cicuitously, that it wasn't 100% effective. OK, before someone tells me to shut up and take a Nytol, I'll quit on my own!
Sarkia 03/27/2004
No S#&!
abichara 03/25/2004
No kidding, I was expecting that Nytol to keep me up until 2AM tonight.
irishgit 03/24/2004
Isn't that the point?
