Quisenberry, a fun pitcher to watch, primarily pitched with the Royals in the 80's. In those days, some relievers, such as Kent Tekulve of the Pirates, pitched with a sidearm or submarine motion. That's rare now, although there are some more recent pitchers with that style, such as Byung- Hun Kim. Quisenberry didn't have all that long of a career but had some of the best seasons by a relief pitcher in the 80's. Quisenberry by all accounts was a likeable guy with a good sense of humor, who unfortunately died a while ago at a rather young age from I believe inoperable cancer.

Though a scourge to the Blue Jays it was a treat watching that crazy sidearm delivery. Apparently, he is a fan of the game on many levels, even does public readings of "Casey at the Bat"

Dazzled hitters with his submarine delivery and helped pitch the Royals to their first pennant.
