There was a period in this guy's career when he was so dominating I would have given even odds that he'd made a pact with Beelzebub. At his best, I've never seen anyone to touch him.

Has lost a lot of ground since then, but that only means he's the best closer in the game right now, as opposed to the best in the galaxy.

I regard the Yankees as some sort of sinister totalitarian force, but the guy's been lights out and may very well be the best I've ever seen.
