I never cared much for the guy, but he had some stuff, and he managed to save a hell of a pile of games for teams which were not generally great.

Reardon briefly held the all-time saves mark before being passed by Lee Smith, who was in turn overtaken by Trevor Hoffman. Certainly had a solid career, but inconsistent- one year he might be among the best closers and the next year among the worst. Played for the most part with Montreal and the Twins, and also Boston and Atlanta.

A solid journeyman, durable like the closers from the 70's. had a great curve ball that he shouldn't have thrown Candy Maldonado a third time in Game 4 of the 1992 WS
