Nicknamed "Bedrock" and based on career value, that's about where he belongs on this list, despite one monster year.

A below average starter with the Braves who became a closer and had a big year with the Phillies in '87. He wasn't exactly known for longevity though, and was never as effective as he was in '87 again. Toward the bottom of this list.

New England Bedrock. This SOB threw HARD. I watched him break 5 bats pitching against Carlton and the Phillies in May 1985 in Atlanta. Unvbelievable stuff, by was not on winners. He won the CY Young in 1987, then with the Phillies. You could hear the ball burn the air when he threw it.

Wow, it's been a long time since I've seen Bedrock's name in print. Bedrosian could really bring the heat, but would not be included in my personal all time list of greatest relief pitchers.
