I hate to be the bearer of bad news but this park is a complete joke. Not only do you have to wait between 45 and 90 minutes for the rides, but they are short and uneventful. The new Tornado is the biggest joke - lasting only 17 seconds and taking 90 minutes to ride. It does not provide a thrill. We went with our two kids yesterday (10 and 7) and I must say that this is one of the the worst managed parks I have ever been to: the lines are atrocious, the flow management is ineffective and the staff is rude, unhappy and dispassionate - comments like: "there are long lines everywnere - get used to it" are not uncommon. The kids managing the rides appear to be more interested in the way they look then in providing quality customer service. After a $200 day for four, we enjoyed four rides - that's it. Four rides. My kids could not be expected to wait 60 minutes to go down a slide waitin in line - on wet stairs - in 90 degree temperatures. So the rest of the time, we spent flotai... Read more

I can't hardly find words to express my disappoinment. Do not come to this place with children under the age of 3. I went with an infant and a toddler (25 months) on a hot saturday. I read their policy online beforehand still got surprises. Going through security I was told (mostly screamed at) that I can't bring my small hard cooler into the park. The website does not state that the cooler has to be SOFT. They didn't care that I had baby food and formula in it. They advised to rent a locker or go to the car every feeding time. Obviously these people don't have children. Baby food in glass jar is also not allowed in the park. Ridiculous!!! However, I saw a few families feeding their baby from a glass jar, I guess they were smart enough to hide them. I wanted to leave immediately, but tickets are not refundeable. :-( So we were kind of forced to stay. We used only the Discovery Bay which is the only area for smaller kids. It was crowded with few shady area. Food courts sell unhealthy fo... Read more

We went on a very hot weekday and it was not as bad as I thought it would be. We almost didn't go after I saw all the bad reviews all over the internet. The park was not too crowded, and first thing in the morning we were able to get tubes without too much trouble at the lazy river. The park is clean and the grounds are very nice. There is not too much of a selection food wise, and as at all amusement parks it was very overpriced, but you excpect that at a park like this. To save some money you could pack lunch and eat it outside the park, there is no outside food allowed in the park. Later in the day it did seem like tubes had disappeared from the lazy river and more people were walking and swimming than floating in a tube but we were still able to get a tube after a walking awhile, and for an extra price you can rent a tube if needed. The life gaurds were very attentive to what everyone was doing. The wave pool was a little disappointing. They have a policy of doing a safety ... Read more

I love the slides and attractions at this park! it is very fun but there are a few problems..... One is the staff. Not all but some of the staff can be very rude. for example, I was about to go down a slide and I had my arms crossed the wrong way. so the guy yells "YOUR ARMS NEED TO BE LIKE THIS!" he could've said it nicely. Also the food is very expenisve! Its not TERRIBLE but its alright. 9 dollars for a cheeseburger? can you say rip off? Other than that i really loved it. Well, we went on a day when it wasnt crowded, so im not sure how it will be when its crowded. But i cant wait to go back! I have a season pass so it wont cost me. The slides are awesome and the park itself is pretty clean and well themed.

ON A HOT SUMMER DAY MY FAMILY WENT TO HURRICAN HARBOR. WE GO DURING THE WORK WEEK SO THAT IT IS LESS CROWDED. WENT TO THE LAZY RIVER AND COULD NOT FIND AN AVAILABLE TUBE. SOME LAZY RIVER HAD TO WALK AROUND IT. THIS WAS EARLY IN THE DAY WHEN THE PARK HAD OPENED. THERE WAS ALOT OF PEOPLE WALKING AND NOT TOO MANY OF THEM FLOATING. SPENT SOME OF THE DAY HANGING OUT IN THE KIDDIE SECTION FOR A WHILE. WENT BACK TO THE LAZY RIVER LATER AND STILL NO TUBES, ASKED THE LIFE GUARD WHERE WERE ALL THE TUBES, SHE STATED THAT ONLY TAKE OUT SO MANY, AND IF I WANTED ONE I COULD GO RENT ONE FOR THE DAY. IF COST AN ARM AND A LEG TO BE IN THAT PARK, THE FOOD, WATER, ADMISSION, LOCKERS, PARKING, AND NOW THAT WANT ME TO RENT A TUBE. THE WAVE POOL HAD TRAINING GOING ON AND WHEN IT DID OPEN THE WAVES WERE NOT THAT GREAT. THAT WAS MY LAST VISIT PARK, EVEN WITH THE DISCOUNT COUPONS I GET FROM MY JOB. SO IF YOU WANT TO PAY ALOT FOR LONG LINES, BAD FOOD, HIGH PRICED WATER, A WALK THOUGH THE LAZY RIVER THAN... Read more

STAY AWAY!!! The 'Lazy River' isn't for relaxing at this park!! Having a 7 yr old daughter, we went to the lazy river for a start. First, getting a tube to ride on was a real issue. There were TONS of people waiting to get a tube-many standing in the middle of the 'river' stalking their ride. We lucked out and someone came up to us and offered their double tube. There were more people walking in the river and kids swimming than there were people in tubes!!! There is no management at this park - it is a free-for-all. If you do sit in the tube, you are guaranteed to get your butt kicked - literally. That is not the idea behind the 'lazy river'!! You are suppose to float and relax, not fight off other people. And the kids there knew nobody would bother them- they bullied their way around even pushing tubes that had toddlers in them. We then headed to the tube rides. We walked up the steps on the side where you don't take your own tube up as the tubes with floors in them are automatic... Read more

Six Flags Hurricane harbor, Jackson NJ Management shortened the amount of ride tubes available. If you want a = tube for a ride, you have to stand like cattle and push and shove for = the next tube someone might give up. Or you can "rent" a tube. The catch = is, you have to leave a $3 deposit in addition to the $5 to $10 rental = fee. (I doubt the park pays more than $5 to $10 for the tubes new) This = means you have to carry it around with you all day, and hope someone = else doesn't walk off with it. Isn't this why we pay $12 for a tiny = locker; so we don't have to carry and watch stuff all day? I didn't = ask, but what happens with the tube if you decide to go out to your car = for lunch or something? Why do they require a deposit? Wouldn't they see = you walking out the gate with it? They practically strip search you = going in. Do they really think terrorist are going to attack hurricane = Harbor? We tried to enjoy the lazy river. Surprise, no tubes available. You can = walk... 0 rating Six flags Hurricane harbor, NJ was really very disappointing. It was too overly crowded, very mis managed. For every ride you have to wait for 1-2hrs. Half of the rides were closed. I will never go there again. And not suggest any one to go there. Not worth the money.

Worst water park administration ever!! Simply put... understaffed, mis-managed and opened to fleece money out of patrons. Everything, and I mean everything (rides, food, restroom, pool), requires you to stand in a lines that wud take you anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours, and that too on a weekend. I cud only imagine what wud happen on a weekend. My family cud only do 2 rides in the first 4 hours that they were at the park. The pool kept closing for 35 minutes every hour or so, I don't know for what reasons. The queues at some of the rides were not manned or managed at all allowing people (sometimes children) to cut in the line and you cannot do much about it. Its really frustrating after you have spend so much money. I wud suggest read reviews from other parks and see if they are better managed that Six Flags' Hurrican Harbor.

Where do I start? As far as the type of rides this place is really good! Too bad the place was half staffed on friday August 20,2004. Because it really took away from the enjoyment . Most of the rides were closed, I would say half of them , thus causing long lines on the remaining rides, the wait was approx 45 minutes. Then when you finally reached the front of the line there was only 1 person operating he whole thing .Now you must understand for example there as a young girl all by herself operating a water slide with 2 slides on one level ,then you walk up a flight of stairs and come to a waterslide which is approximtely 7 stories in the air with no worker! This poor girl was operating all three slides at the same time! we encountered this all day long! The place was packed , the staff was overworked , Half the rides were closed! All this On a Friday in August! This was the first time I hd ben at this park and before yesterday we were planning a da at te park for approximately 30 fam... Read more

It's a fine water park for older kids. DOn't take the youngsters unless you want them to miss out on all the fun - height restrictions galore .. even in the family-fun section! Charges should be by height and not age - it's a con for younger families!
