Whenever he says "Want woman!" I crack up. No sexy woman is safe from him. For those who don't remember, he was mascot of the US snowboarding team in 1998-with his hyper attitude he exhibited in one video sponsoring them, the team was not sorry picking him despite having won just 2 bronze medals from Nagano. 

animal is funny. he has that caveman personality. plays the drums. does not have very good manners. but like him.  one of the funnier muppets.

There are reasons to love animal. Yet I'm not a person who has them.

I love Animal, he plays great on the drums, and talks very funny, he is the second funniest Muppet (Swedish Chef is funnier), and Animal and Swedish Chef are my two favorite muppets. I love you Animal!

Animal was based on Keith Moon. One of my favorite muppets

If Keith Moon had been made out of felt and feathers, he would have been Animal.

It has been known for quite a long time that the Muppet Animal was based on The Who's great drummer, Keith Moon. Aside from Animal's similar, flamboyant playing style, he has the huge, thick eyebrows like Moon in addition to his tendency to wear red, also Moon's favorite color. Moon died at such a young age (32) so it's endearing to see his spirit live on in Animal.

Animal was great, especially on Muppet Babies. Gonzo was his best friend, and he was the youngest of the Muppet Babies and couldn't walk. I loved how he talked and how he made a total mess of everything. But the best was the end of the show went he said Gooooooooo Bye-bye YAYAYAYAYA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Animal is one of my favorite Muppets! He was great at the drums, and funny too. I could image him touring with actual rock bands, trashing hotel rooms and going after all of the groupies.

Animal just isn't funny and I think he is the most overrated Muppet.

Animal was/is great! He was the boy in the leather jacket, the guy in the band, he was everything your father warned you about and I wanted to meet him and ....

Totally needs to calm down. I would wager that this character was based on Keith Moon to a large extent. Even after destroying the drumset he still had boundless energy and acted like he was on steroids, always breathing real hard even if he was just sitting there.

He's the funniest muppet!

If one muppet were to go on the road with Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin in his off time, it would be this guy. Even though his drumming abilities weren't as prolific as John Bonham, he was very amusing and funny. I like a Muppet that doesn't require that you have to question his sexual preference.

Animal, Animal he’s my man he eats everything he can get in his hands. He beats on the drums like a fool all day and you’re gonna get smacked if you get in his way. Animal rules!!! Likes it loud with lots of food and women, my idol.

Animal is a one-gag Muppet. He's funny, but too much of his "WOMAN! FOOD! WOMAN!" can get irritating. And yes, it is overused.

I know I'm gonna catch a lot of flack for this, but I always found Animal kind of boring at best and annoying at worst.
