Gonzo is great. I felt bad for him because he was in love with Piggy and she didn't like him and loved Kermit instead.

Gonzo is my favourtie muppet by far. Yeah we all know Piggy's a pig, Kermit's a frog, Fozzie's a bear, Rizzo's a rat and even Cookie Monster is a monster, but what specie or even creature is Gonzo? He's so wierd with his wierd habits its almost funny. He doesn't really fit into the muppet kingdom, even his voice is wierd and that's what makes him my favourite muppet it's his uniqueness.

How do you properly explain Gonzo? Obviously weird comes to mind. An alien with odd fetishes, he never quite fit in and yet it would have been dull without him. Good for the laughs and I think he's underrated.

Gonzo mostly creeped me out. His whiney voice, his pathetic wanderings. His love of all the plump chorus chickens was a midly redeming feature.

Gonzo ruled! He wasn't any type of animal, he was a Weirdo, that is his species. Kind of like the Daffy Duck of the muppet show to Kermit's Bugs Bunny; he was creepy and negative, but too caught up in his own obsessions to be envious of Kermit. I also liked it in that movie when he became a stuntman and would take ramps on his waterskis (weren't the chickens driving the boat as well?)

Gonzo is cleary the product of utter genius. i'd go so far as to say he's more of an icon than Kermie... okay well maybe not, but he's definitely a contendah.

My favorite Muppet. The best song ever is of course "I'm going to go back there someday".

A little weird, but weird is cool!

I'd say that Gonzo was the dark horse of the Muppets, you never hear of anybody (except for this website) say, "Gonzo was my favorite Muppet character". His fetish for chickens, his negativity, and probably not knowing what kind of animal he is is probably why people were bewildered about him. But, he was a team player and provided a few laughs on the episodes, even in the movies.

I think Gonzo is also a classic, not as much as Kermy, but still a classic. Also him & Rizzo make a good team I think. I just wish I could one day find out what he is. :)

Closet homosexual…liked Kermit and those chickens way to much without any described purpose. To weird for me.

He's weird... he's OK I guess. I don't particularly care for him overly though. Maybe it's because he's been WAY overused in the past few years... he was never meant to be a star, but a supporting character. Now he's getting bigger than Kermit, and that just isn't right.

Not a very big fan of Gonzo. He was pretty annoying to have around. He was getting into weird situations all of the time because of his uncalled for fetish with chickens. Even as an adult I fail to see the humor in that. I never saw his so-called sensitive side, I really did not like any of the songs that he sung either. He could have been on cocaine a lot though. That could explain the bug eyes, his high energy and his name.... Gone-zo??
