I just started dippin again and id like to clearify a few things
1. skoal cope an grizz is dip or snuff not chew
chew is red man beechnut or levi
i just get pissed when people say they chew when they rub and i ask them for a chew and they toss me a can of cope or skoal

Skoal always packs easily, but that's the only constant. I've tried pretty much the whole range, so here are my observations.

Classic: Pretty much Copenhagen that's cut better.
Straight: A little bit of sweet, lasts a while, best of the easy-to-find Skoal types.
Mint: Tastes like weak mouthwash mixed with tobacco, and doesn't last very long.
Wintergreen: Strange flavor, but lasts a little longer than Mint.
Fine Cut Wintergreen: Messy, tears up your lip, and disgustingly minty.
Spearmint: My favorite of the mint types. A more subtle flavor than Mint or Wintergreen.
Cherry: Tastes like candy, and tears up your lip if you dip it too much, but one of my favorites for nostalgia (I fed some to a seagull once!).
Berry: Disgustingly sweet, but lasts a while.
Peach: Should have been called Skoal Antibacterial Soap Blend. Nasty.
Apple: Tastes like an Apple Jolly Rancher. Kiddie crap.
Citrus: Dry, with no real flavor, and doesn't last long.
Vanilla: Smells good, but has no flavor and doesn't last long.

Im 17 years old been dipping for a while now. Im stuck on copenhagen and skoal mint. Most of the people here dip just to get a buzz the fact is, if u dip a while ull start not gettin a buzz me i just dip for flavor. All those fruity dips are fucking digusting and is for pussys who does skoal peach or berry those are nasty grow some nuts and step it up. But skoal is good to switch it up with your normal type of dip but only mint and i guess wintergreen and straight any other type of skoal if flat out disgusting and a waste of money

Skoal has it's pro's and cons...
pro's: long lasting flavor, good pack, doesen't fuck with your gums, large variety of flavors
con's: expensive, no buzz factor
My favorite flavors are straight and either cherry or peach.
citrus is pussy shit, and berry tastes awful.

IDK maybe i don't ever get a buzz since my first time dipping because i dip around 5 to 6 times a day, plus im only 15 ;]... hello death by 20!

Alright ive been packing lips for almost a year and skoal is by far the best. When i dip i think of the best dip as the best flavor, moisture, how well the dip stays together in your lip, and the buzz. Skoal is average to great in all of these categories.
flavors:
cherry=great flavor and buzz. best fruity flavor
mint=great for day to day great buzz
wintergreen=could be better
edge=a lot better than regular wintergreen. mad good buzz
berry= cant pack a fatty or else you get overwhelmed by fucking fruit
peach=only fags pack peach doesnt taste like peach
apple=very good for a change of dip
straight= best buzz next to edge tastes great
spearmint=really dry and not as good as regular mint
citrus=dry and boreing after half a tin
vanilla=great flavor and unusual but can be used well in moderation. great for mixing with peach and cherry
Remember when dipping that the smell of the dip is not neccisarily what it tastes like. all skoal tastes better than it smells.
if you are looking for a better buzz just grab a tin of copenhagen or pour some vodka in ur tin and freeze it. hahah fucks you up

Skoal strait:4.5 stars...very good..the only reason im givin it 4.5 stead of 4 is cause cope and griz are stronger

wintergreen:3 stars...dont like wintergreen,only tried skoal wintergreen though

mint:1 star...horrible,way to strong..im not a menthol fan and mint tastes like shit..all mint tastes like is pure mint..its very different than other skoal flavors

to tell you the truth i think mint isn't that bad, it was the first can i had so i guess i got use to it. But i think apple, cherry, citrus, straight, PEACH, and grape kick it out of the water. my favorite of them is clearly peach. i just bought a log of peach and i am LOVING IT! and yeah btw, dip does not have fiber glass in it! idk why every one is saying it does.

Skoal is by far some of the best dip I have ever tried. I love how the flavor last for a good amount of time. Some flavors like mint could be toned down. The best besides Straight is the Peach blend. It smells great and tastes even better. The flavors I have tried are: CHERRY aka Medicine, Straight, Wintergreen, EDGE Wintergreen, Mint (Never again), Apple, Berry, and PEACH. Also a little tid bit if you don't want to deal with the loose stuff go ahead and get the Pouches. Pouches come in handy when you don't have time to grab a pinch just grab a pouch pop it in and bam you're ready to go.

I tried 5 flavours and here is my ratings on all of them

Skoal Straight-4 stars...the most nicotine out of the skoal brand..the only reason why im giving it 4 stars is because copenhagen is a bit stronger

Skoal Cherry-4 stars...great cherry flavor tastes like cough medicine...my favorite fruity flavour even though i only tried this and berry blend

berry blend-3.5 stars...would give it 4 except i like cherry a little better..nice berry taste to it

For those who say the fruity flavors are for pussies have no idea what they are talking about. I've dipped for years. mainly grizz wintergreen and sometimes grizz straight. i dipped those for about a year straight and NO buzz, which is expected. i went back to the beginner days and got a apple blend and man oh man. i actually have a buzz. it's good quality dip that doesn't taste bad. NOW . i will not dip apple blend everyday BUT i will admit its good to have every once and a while. i got sick of all the wintergreens and straights. overall skoal makes a great dip that doesn't cut your gums to hell like grizz. when you have the extra money treat yourself to some skoal. whatever you like. all are good

Ha ha the fruity chew for men, or women. Huge selection of flavors that are good tasting but there just too sweet for my taste. Great for a first time chewer or a casual chewer. The flavor is what ever can you buy says and they do this very well. It doesnt last as long as Copenhagen flavor wise but it will keep fresh for much longer than my can of Copenhagen will. Great seal that preserves freshness.

My first can of Skoal was a can of Original Fine Cut, which is Wintergreen.
Hard for a newbie to keep in one piece once it's in your lip. It has a nice kick, a mild flavor, and a pleasing, yet strong scent. Very enjoyable.
It's a bit sugary, and will make your fingers sticky if it's warm.
Price: Expensive...

My next can was a can of Skoal Straight Pouches.
Price: Cheaper than a regular can by about two dollars.
Value: Very good for being pouches.
Flavor: Very spicy, good and tobacco-y flavor. Strong. Do not gut this, period. It burns if you gut it. Sweet, flavor reminds me slightly of a very earthy hot pepper, but milder.
Highly enjoyable.
Longetivity: Bad. I had this can for a total of about three days. By the end of this time period, the pouches had started to dry severely. By the very end, the last pouch, I had to work to get the flavor out, and get any excretion going at all. So, I put in two, which made an obvious lump. If you're a heavy dipper and need to keep your dipping reasonably concealed, I'd recommend pouches or Bandits. Straight all the way, in my opinion.
Concealability: My grandparents are appalled by tobacco, plain and simple. I spent an entire day working in the yard with my grandfather, dipping all the way. We'd load some brush, go to get in his truck, I'd whip around with my back to him, palm my can, toss in a pouch and go. He never even noticed, though I did have to be creative in disposing of them once they'd dried out and I needed a new one. With some care, nobody will know. I'd also recently had upper respiratory and sinus infections, so I could get away with the excuse of coughing things up to spit very, very frequently.
Overall enjoyability: If they didn't start to get stale so fast, I'd spend the cash to have some Straight Pouches on me at all times. The fact that they dry out quickly is the only down side I see here.

Skoal Berry Blend is the worst stuff I've ever had in my mouth. The smell is awful too. And to add insult to injury it's really expensive. I'm not all into fruit flavored dips but for skoal I do have to recommend cherry long cut it's what I started on and I still love it.

I used to chew this all the time, back before I started smoking. From age 13 to 16 this was all I ever used. But when I was 16 I started smoking and I started losing interest in smokeless tobacco. When you think about it, chewing tobacco is really gross and messy and I haven't used it in two years. If you want nicotine you should just smoke, it isn't gross and it looks way cooler.

Skoal is great from time to time when you're feeling like somethin' new or fruity.  I've tried all of there flavors and they're all great.  It's just too weak and expensive for my taste.  I had to take 2 huge dips of the wintergreen to get a buzz.  I was out of dip in 1/2 a day and had no more money.  Shoulda got 2 cans of Grizzly for the same price that woulda lasted 4 days.

Skoal is for children, i'm 16 and it doesn't give me enough buzz to last more than a few minutes, 5 tops. Cope is definitelly better, but i have no preference towards it. all i know is, this shit sucks. get tired of it before i'm even done with the can, again, this shit's for kids. No offense to Carroll County Kid.

I LOVE IT. I can't get enough Skoal. Enough with the bashing Grizz fans, it's ok too. The only thing is, Skoal may not be as strong, but Skoal doesn't shred through the skin on my inner jaw like tissue either. If it wasn't for that, Grizzly would be probably my second favorite, but it just rips right through my mouth. I love Skoal, there's a reason that it's the standard for smokeless tobacco :D

Skoal wintergreen and straight are the best dips anywhere.  There is no substitute but the closest in taste and cut quality has to be rooster wintergreen,  its very good and consistently that way.  Oh and its only 1.18 here in NC while skoal is 4-4.50.   Oh and it is made by US smokeless too,  same as skoal and cope

I give Skoal 3 stars for one reason and one reason only, taste. Skoal has some tasty flavors, but thats it. Skoal apple and citrus are decent, but after half a can of it I'm sick of it. Not to mention no buzz at all, might as well just buy some jolly ranchers. If you want bang for your buck, buy grizzly.

Skoal is known to be the best dip on the market. I would have to agree with that. Apple Blend is one of my favorites so heres what I think about it. It packs well, gives you the amount of nicotine you want, and for anyone who likes things sweet it has a very sweet flavor. However, the price is too high to be used on a regular basis. It's $5.00 a can where I'm at. So I mostly am a Grizzly man, preferably Long Cut Straight, ofcourse. And at $2.00 a can is less than half of Skoal. But if you fell like paying royally for your dip go with Skoal no ?s asked. I give Skoal a "5" even though the price is higher than most dip.
