If they face Edmonton's young guns in the first round they'll have to slow the game down or risk getting run off the ice. UPDATE: Having tuned up against Nashville, shouldn't have much trouble from a Calgary team still mauled from a tough physical series with Vancouver. Could be over quickly, especially if Detroit eschews it's normal slow series start. UPDATE: Age appears to have caught up to this franchise in a hurry. A major rebuilding job is in the offing.

 | excelsior30 (8) 05/04/2004 | They are a team that has lots of vets, but they have many stars too. They have a shot, but they can get a scare at some point. (Just like Nashville and Calgary in game 1 gave them the scare at their hometown, but since they have the President's Trophy, it doesn't matter.)update- Now they are very scared!! Calgary shows commitment in their 3-2 series lead and also Yzerman is injured. If you saw how he got injured on ABC, your heart may skip a beat. What will happen in Game 6? (5/2 Answer:) A loss. Yes, they would have used Chelios and Yzerman out of injury about now as they are shockingly eliminated, but here, you have to imagine that a city like Calgary loves their team and though home field is not much importance, it is at the Saddledome; the fans make Iginla, Warrener, Gelenas, Commodore and even the Kipper tough for any visitor. I saw the Joe, and the fans were nothing like the Flames fans. If there will be a season next year, there will be big changes for the Wings, but it is true that it's the end of an era for them.
