 | excelsior30 (8) 04/20/2004 | 4/4 Despite of the improvement, they can likely choke. If they survive, they may reach the conference semifinal- but no farther if there are no upsets outside of Canada. (Recent) Terrifying!! After a lot of effort to get into OT, they bowed out very early. what shame as they should have closed it out on their home court. Now, if Bertuzzi was there, they would automatically get there, but Iginla of the Flames was too much for them. What a shame as Bertuzzi got himself out of the team... who knows what would have happened if he just cared about himself at that time?

 | irishgit (138) 04/04/2004 | They weren't playing well before they lost Bertuzzi for the season and playoffs. The ineptitude of Colorado has kept them in the hunt for the division title, but its hard to see them going far in the playoffs. Goaltending is suspect, the powerplay has gone south, and that will likely offset their hit and speed game. UPDATE: Having continued to falter for seven games after the Bertuzzi incident, the team seems to have reinvented itself, winning six straight to finish the season and take the division title away from a Colorado team that seems to have vanished. The loss of Bertuzzi seems to have helped the team, and the addition of speed/skill players like Sanderson and Rucinsky has made a huge difference. Cloutier's goaltending, always a playoff question mark, has been spectacular in recent games, and a hot goalie is a powerful force come playoff time. Defense is among the best in the league and special teams have made a comeback. Match up well with either potential opponent in first round (Dallas or Calgary)
