Great team, and now that Roenick is going to play, they are likely to end the curse of 25 years without Lord Stanley of Preston's valuable treasure if they have a goalie that they can depend on the most. (Update: Esche. He is the one that can stand up to the Leafs and Belflour when they go to Toronto in game 6 [amended>] if the defense can prevent trick shots when needed.) 5/4: Yep, with the illness too! The former Blackhawks who are now grouped on a line are now clicking. As they are the ones that score the most goals. We are now seeing black players in the playoffs. This is no white man's game here as Donald Brashear is a great checker and recently a goal scorer. We shall see if he, Esche, Hanzus, Roenick, Zhamnov, Amonte and Priemeau can freeze Martin St. Louis, Vince Lecavaler and score on Nikolai Khabibulin. Yes, if you saw the reg. season record, the now #1 in league Lighting swept the Flyers, but that's old, the playoffs show who has the better hand in 7. (5/22 update:) It took all seven to figure out who wins, but they came short. I was also expecting this team to go all the way since they are big and fast, but I can guess that their opponents were proven to be quick as their name. We can hope that Roenick can have another chance at the Cup since he almost retired. If I am correct in predicting the future, I say that in 2007 Philly will end its curse of no championships in the major sports- it will start with the Stanley Cup.

Oh yeah! Flyers tie it up to force game 7 against the lightning. Great all-around team; perhaps, Philadelphia's most underated team.

Tough team, and the opening series, which at this point looks to be against Ottawa could be a bloodbath. The teams hate each other, and they've both aquired a lot of gritty players. The winner of this series has a shot at going a long way, or of being so beat up they fold. UPDATE: Having disposed of the defending champions with surprising ease in the first round look well poised to thump the daylights out of the aged Maple Leafs. With Ottawa gone, a strong contender for the final.
