Perhaps Disney's most interesting animated feature. Well over the heads of most of the noodlebrains out there. "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" is pure genius. I have to wonder, where's "Song of the South" on this list? All those racial slurs were hilarious. That was a prime example of the onerous and sick messages Disney's been foisting on young folks for decades.

One for the ages as I have seen what the Philadephia Orchestra had done for the movie. The beginning, I did not understand, but when the movie continues on, it is mesmorizing. I'm sure nobody will say that that part where they show the beginning of earth and the dinosaurs was not bad at all. The same should go to Wizard Mickey, the Greek Mythology stint, The Nutcracer Suite with the seasons and the dance of the African animals in the garden. Sure, many will not like classical music, but having it go with the animation with good accuracy can make you smile. A benchmark for future movies that include background music as an integral part of making a movie (either realistic or animated) sensational. I havent seen the 2000 version yet, but this one cannot be duplicated.

The music is great, and it's rather pretty, but it's always left me a little cold. It's rebirth as a druggie movie is hilarious.

Suffice it it say that I like Disney's older stuff better than the stuff they've released in the past few years. Fantasia was a great exercise in imagery, exposing young viewers to great music and great animation. One of Disney's better releases.

It's ok, adults will like it more than kids.
