This is the best a classic movie. There is a little baby in a basket crying until a panther bagheera took him nearby the wolf den. Bagheera put him down and waited. But he tryed to make the baby cry the wolves looked at the baby and took him. The man cub mowgli was fully grown and he called his friends the wolves they were grown too. Bagheera and the wolf pack had a meeting about mowgli that shere khan return to the jungle and surely killed that man cub. Bagheera decied too take him to a man village and climb a tree. Then kaa came down hypnotize the boy bagheera woke up as soon as possible and hit the the snake in the jaw. Kaa was mad at bagheera now and started to hynpotize him instead. Mowgli found out he pushed the snake coils of the tree and the snake feel down kaa was mad and told mowgli i'll be back. The next morning the elephant pachyderm start to march and mowgli want to see what was going on he did. He follow the hathi son. Hathi got mad at him and bagheera stopped him just in time. He told hathi that he was taking mowgli to the man village and off they went. Bagheera want to take him to the man village until he got fed up and he left.Mowgli was alone until he met a fun loving happy go round bear named Baloo. Baloo was so nice that he taught mowgli a few tricks in the jungle and the Bare Nessicites. bagheera came along to see want happened to mowgli but he was playing with baloo. Baloo and mowgli were enjoy themselve until the monkeys grabbed mowgli. Baloo was mad at the monkeys for stealing is man cub. The monkeys outsmarted baloo and baloo cryed for bagheera. Bagheera came again and wondered what happened to mowgli.They went to the ruins where king louie is at a king loiue sang 'I want to be like you' he wanted to know the secret of man fire.
Bagheera and baloo show up in time and tryed to be sneaky to get mowgli but baloo had another plans He dressed up as one of the monkeys.king louie and the monkey were fooled. But when king louie slapped him he was exposed then baloo got mowgli and monkeys did. there a liitle chase scene they end with the temple falling apart. then bagheera,mowgli and baloo had so much fun they want to do it again.mowgli was asleep bagheera was taking to baloo that mowgli can't stay in the jungle and told baloo everything about the dangers of the jungle and shere khan. then baloo decied he wants to take mowgli to the man village.mowgli woke up and was happy but when te words came out of baloos mouth mowgli ran away.hathi was on the move again and bagheera told him to halt. Conlenl hathi was mad who said halt and baghhera want to know that conlenl hathi can find mowgli.Hathi didn't accecpted the mission until the wife and baby made him go find mowgli. He accepted and march all over the jungle. mowgli was alone again until kaa came back and tryed too hynpotize him again. But the plan failed shere khan want to where the boy was so he ask kaa where he was.Kaa didn't have no idea shere khan kept searching the jungle.mowgli went to a place he didn't go before there were 4 vultures Dizzy,Iggy Flapps and Ziggy they cheered up mowgli a until bit and sang We are friends" to him shere came along and finally saw the boy. He scare the vulture away so they can't protected him.shere khan count to 10 and pounce the boy but baloo save is skin just in time.shere khan was mad because baloo made him fail and scratch and killed baloo mowgli got the fire. the vultures swooped down and distracted shere khan a litle bit. mowgli put fire on this tail that shere khan was so worried that the fire might killed him and ran away. Mowgli was sad that baloo died and bagheera came along and praise for baloo for saving him from the ultimate killer tiger.baloo was fine and mowgli was happy bagheera was a little upset that he would still be alive. the three characters walked along taking about how they beat shere khan until mowgli heard a voice in the distance. It was shanti the girl from the man village.She lured him into the man village baloo want him to come back and bagheera want him to go on. Mowgli followed the girl in and baloo was stunned but bagheera was happy. they sang the bear nessicites again and the movie ends. I love the jungle book it such a entainting movie.

Baloo ROCKS!!!!

True, those buzzards are like the Beatles and the movie itself has some rhythm in its songs (even the Indian jungle background underscore almost throughout the movie)and storyline. The artists made a great job in drawing the animals- it seems that they drew them while being confronted with them. I may want to read the story to compare with Disney's live action one with Mogli giong back to the jungle with Kitty when he's much older and the other Disney action movie seen only on TV where Mogli does socialize more with the wolves and Shere Khan does more Attacking. This movie would be the best to watch out of all of those versions. I guess the reason why there is a sequel is because he shrugged his shoulders at the end, and many would question if he comes back. Hey, being hooked can occur whether or not you were in the wild... :) Overall, for any age, it's a sensational movie to watch- a masterpiece you want to buy for the holidays!

The influence of the 1960's is all over this Film,right down to the Buzzards,very reminiscent of The Beatles.One of the few Disney Films that dates itself.

I loved this as a kid, and to my surprise I rather enjoyed it as an adult. Not too much cutie-pie crap, and if it doesn't stick too close to Kipling's story it doesn't do a bad job.

This film needs to be back on DVD! By the way, why was the sequel made?
