Totally underappreciated really, but the plot is good enough for some to be tuned into the movie. I can understand that this is rated PG (perhaps the first PG movie Disney has ever made in animation), but for the main character Taran, his dreams somewhat came true as he fought bravely as a knight-to-be. Now I can say, who would not like the character named Gurgi? Though pessimistic, he is one good example of heroism and making friends while having a bad case of stealing. There may be some reference to Shakespere's Macbeth- there were three witches and they looked similar. There are no songs, but it is a fine one to have if you like stories from Medieval times. Anyway, there was a happy ending, right?

As I recall this one didn't last long in Theatres in it's initial release.

Different because it has few overly cute charecters, really mean bad guys, lots of sences that will creep out the kids, and no Disney music and songs.

Decent Disney movie, but unmemorable. The animation is as good as you'd expect, but I can't remember any of the music and some of the characters were unlikable.
