4/30/06, 2 stars: I did see a snippet of the movie, but it looks too heartwarming. I was expected to see Gringoire and also Fleur-de-Lys in the movie as they were characters in the book I read. I will see all, but don't be surprised that whoever read the book or saw a movie that stays in tune to Hugo's classic will give the movie less than 3 stars. This rating of 2 is temporary. It will be one as soon as I finish watching it. 6/18/06: No surprise that this movie was too cheesy. What spoils this movie are the gargoyles Quasi talks to. Phoebus was supposed to like lots of women and become stabbed. The movie did go somewhat according to the book, but sometimes not in order. Esmaralda was supposed to be hanged as her punishment, not burned. I did not like it at all as the ending was supposed to be sad. This movie is not worthwhile; I will say that Edward Eisner had to step down after this junk was a good thing.

Probably the only Disney Film I could rate one star. Offers little to no entertainment value for kids. As for adults it really isn't basde on the tragic classic. One of the reasons Eisner should leave.

Nothing really to write home about, it's ok but not great.
