4/16/2004 1 star: The plot is silly- trying to dethrone an emperor for building a waterpark? Just absurd. It is like having a country with lots of fun and no organization. What can children gain from this movie? >>>Update- To tell the truth, I havent seen it at the time I sent my first submission, but today I did watch it. I had to give it a star because it was a little funny, but there were no significant songs you can like. It did not change my overall negativity of the movie because the characters weren't proportional at the limbs when they draw men, just like Atlantis. Besides, when I hear of Kuzco, I think of the capital of the Inca Empire with a C in the beginning, but this is defintely not pertaining to the Incas. Now, is this enough to say that this is not a worthy movie, notwritingapaper?

excelsior30 needs to reorient his/her system of deciding worthy disney movies. The point of a disney movie is not to instruct children on moral/ethical issues; rather, it is to entertain. The Emperor's New Groove excels in this light. The hillarious exchanges between the emperor and every other character, the silly nature of Cronk and the emperor's advisor- this movie made me laugh and smile more than most that I have seen.

My favorite movie of all time.

The best non-Pixar Disney movie, bar-none. All of the best kinds of humor: slapstick, absurdist dialogue, pop culture references, breaking-the-fourth-wall, and a who-cares-about-reality attitude. Awesome voice acting from Patrick Warburton and Eartha Kitt and incredible animation make this a classic!
