You have too love anything with funny moose in it. Okay so it's no Lion King I thought it was a great reason to keep traditional animation.

It was decent. My kids enjoyed it, bit I wouldn't rate it in the top twenty of Disney films.

This movie, when compared to Pocahontas is less offensive and does show what American Indians believe in their stories they tell. It is good that it is not based on a true story, and not tweaked like Pocahontas. Truly, the animal characters are cute; and surely a fine movie to watch one who feels sympathy after taking the life away from a momma bear and learning how it is to a bear while taking care of the orphan and at the same time fulfilling the rite of passage. It has great songs that is purely from the natives (ex: the transformation scene). Though it did not win an Oscar, it was great that it was nominee for 2004. It may live of to the hype to becomming close to some of the best masterpieces Disney has ever made.
