FreeBSD 5

It has a graphical interface for configuring X. PC BSD and Desktop BSD are for the desktop environment.
You choose from thouisands of programs plus compatibility with other operating systems.
The security far exceeds windows or macintosh, even linux.

Great for servers, not so good for it's unintended market (Desktop's)

FreeBSD 3

Great for network systems, but home users will be lost in the shell. Open source programming saves this entry for certain doom.
