While this is a fine, if somewhat bland and nebulous virtue, I don't see it getting anyone cranked up or turned on. Unless, its something like

"Ohhhh Baby, I love it when you say pleeassse."

"Darling, would you be so kind as to talk to me in a crude and indecent manner and handle me in that rough hewn manner which I find so physically satisfying."  Nah, it doesn't do much for me.

One can only hope that a person he or she is interested in possesses both politeness and personal decency. But it cannot be expected nor demanded of a potential mate. Nevertheless, having this quality (politeness) is definitely a plus!

I would take polite to rude. having manner is nice at least may show a respect for others. would not be at the top of my list. a nice bonus if someone is polite.

This is another one of those things that aren't a turn-on so much as the opposite is a major turn off.  Obnoxious guys suck.  It really bugs me when a guy complains about something lame and scoffs with some sense of self-importance how they're NOT going to tip the waiter/waitress.  Yeah, whatever, get over yourselves.

Definetely, I think that you can tell pretty quickly if the person is someone you could be with long term by the way they interact with you as well as others.  If they are someone who is rude to waiters, for example (bossing them around, making uncalled for remarks, thinking they are above people) this is someone to "politely" walk away from.  If you are in the honeymoon faze (0-6 months give or take) and blinded by the light so to speak, ask your friends what they think of his/her attitude.  Good friends will give it to you straight.

Rudeness is such a turnoff! Why would anyone want to introduce a rude person to their parents?

By politeness,I mean general good manners and being considerate-not the stuffy formality thing. It is definately a turn-off when people are rude and obnoxious.

When guys are well mannered and attentive to my needs, oh man what a turn on. Guys, listen up. When a young lady has been well raised, there is almost nothing more you can do to make her like you than be well mannered, act a gentleman, and respect her wishes. Open doors, pull out chairs, and give her your coat if it is cold. The girl, or at least me, will think you are totally worth her time.

a good one. especially be polite when they are being waited on. i dated this one woman and she was nothing but rude to waiters and waitresses. we quit going out to eat, until i realized she was like that w/all service industry folks. then we quit dating altogether.
