Tolerable, but I didn't miss her when she left.

Molly Shannon is one of my all time faves. She's got the best all around character actor theres no one else that compares to the intensity and commitment she has for every character she embodies them with every movement. Beutifuly crafted geniuos. She did this character once for a "I went to prom with a gay man" documentary and she did the funniest old lady character i'VE ever seen. There was a delay in delivery in some lines that was brilliant. I believe every move and word she says. Brilliant!

She was great. A little hard to handle at sometimes, but usually always funny. NPR would be a lot better with her hosting.

No. Never, ever. Why?! Why?! Why?! Wh.. Sorry I stopped breathing from frustration. Also sorry about the run-on sentences, but man! Casting director's please, seriously, please stop casting this entertainment abomination. I just saw her on SCRUBS and it was the last straw. Oh and I can't believe someone down the page called a character of hers "timeless". TIMELESS???? Oh brother.

This one would get my vote for probably the worst but then there is Cherri. Can some one please explain to me what is funny about this person. She should do serious drama but then again her acting is terrible too. What a waste of screen time helped take more humor out of the show.

Very funny--especially Mary Katherine Gallagher. That character makes me a little bit sad, too, because Molly went to a Catholic school in the Cleveland suburb of Shaker Heights, and I often wonder if she was treated the same way there. All in all, a brilliant comedienne who left the show too soon.

Don't Get It

Molly Shannon is absolutely hilarious and no matter what, can make me smile. Mary Catherine Gallagher and her Monica Lewinsky impression were my faves! But her movies are funny too! I loved her during my boss's daughter!

Sometimes hilarious (Veronica and Friends) and sometimes not funny at all. Also looks like she needs a bath.

Molly Shannon disturbs me. She is just so intense that she's more frightening than funny, which is probably a negative considering her chosen profession is comedienne.

Molly is so damn funny. She especially does a great job when she co stars on Will and Grace every now and then as the crazy lady. And SNL, and Superstar and so much more. She is one helluva an actress too. Very underrated.

I liked when Mary Catherine wanted into the Black Angels. That was her best Superstar skit."What's it to you, collar?" "Hey, Sister - I bet you got a real hairy ass....ruff!ruff!""it's ok, I've done it before...""my Babylon 5 chatroom isn't gonna believe this!" and the Lorena Bobbitt "you just stepped into Hell, baby!" Other than that, she sucked.

SUPERSTAR

I have never laughed at those Superstar skits. Not even once. That doesn't stop these SNL producers from milking it for all it's worth. There's a little-known comedy act called the Three Stooges who could do physical humor that is a thousand times funnier than anything this person ever did.

Molly Shannon is not really anything special. She tends to play the same roles over and over again on SNL and never attempting to really branch out, and the Superstar skits are old. However, she is the perfect Monica Lewsinski and her skits with John Goodman as Linda Tripp was hilarious.

She's average but the Mary Catherine Gallagher character was timeless.

One has to bear in mind that most skits starring a certain cast member were written by that cast member. I'm surprised any of her sketches even made it to air. Hey, do you remember that character she played that had a shrill, nasal voice that either stretched all her limbs out, or tucked them all in nervously, followed the same formula, and repeated the same lines for ten minutes, every week for years? Yeah? Which? News flash - unusual characters aren't funny. Writing is. Go back to junior high.

She cracks me up when she does the Mary Catherine Gallagher "Superstar" bit. Too bad that turned into a sucky movie. She also does the "I'm 50! 50 Years Old" bit which is also hilarious.

I absolutely LOATHED Molly Shannon! All her characters were the same and she was obnoxious and not funny.

Man do I hate this woman's characters. They are all the same down to even the voice and mannerisms. Try being creative once in a while Molly!

Annoying as hell.

This woman almost never fails to be embarrassingly UNfunny. The only time she was even mildly so was when she did the 50-something woman with big hair who beat up young men with her purse. But the "love it, loooove it" skit was just too over the top and much more typical of her. And, as far as Mary Catherine goes - well, even if it had ever been funny in the first place, how long can sniffing your own armpits be anything but obsessively compulsively dim-witted.

She can either be extremely funny or extremely obnoxious. I'm extremely tired of the whole Mary Catherine Gallagher sketch.

This is the baby and this is the mommy... they are best friends! She is hilarious in Superstar!
