I'll take a smile with character over frighteningly perfect, orthodontist-trained teeth anyday. I love a person with a big, unique smile that no one else has in the world. Something the cosmetic dental world doesn't appreciate and tries to eradicate.

Jewel and Patricia Arquette are in my top-five most hot list all because they both have effed up grills. Ok, so they both have prize winning boobs too...but it's the fact that they are ALLL natural, including the goofy grins that really, really makes them uber sexy in my book. Sure, they could afford to have a custom made set of choppers, but the fact that they choose not too says everything I need to know about who they really are. I can't stand a woman who is too perfect. I can't stand a woman who believes she NEEDS to be perfect. I love and appreciate a flaw to fall in love with here or there. Confidence is sexy.

I don't mind a chipped tooth or a slight gap, as one reviewer points out that can be quite sexy. The full hillbilly dental look however certainly diminishes my interest in oral sex.

I might be in the minority on this but I like facial irregularities. (I don't how else to phrase it.) Something that makes a face unique and gives it character. Stick-out ears, a chipped tooth, a crooked smile, freckles, a small rogue scar, etc. An irregular feature on an otherwise handsome or beautiful face adds a touch of warmth and humanity, I think. I find it quite sexy.

Too much emphasis is placed on dental hygiene in our society. There's nothing like that lovable snaggle-toothed grin, with a black space here and there, to warm the cockles of one's heart.
