A group of us were standing around my living room chatting the other day. On smelling somthing rather anal and unpleasant I said out loud to my wife 'Has that (neighbour's) cat been shi**ing in here again?' She looked at me in a way as if to say 'shhhh...button it'. It was only after the guests had left that she told me the cat had not been in but that particular smell had emanated from the mouth of one of the guests, a 'friend' of hers. I was gobsmacked to learn that someone could have breath that stank of cat sh*t...that could be smelt from 5 feet away. I do not exaggerate. She told me that this individual has a phobia of dentists and had not been to one in almost 20 years!!! I asked my wife how she managed to endure his company. She said that plying him with mints had some help.

In middle school, I recall my friend set me up on a blind date with a kid who lived a few blocks away. When I got to the kid's house (He was throwing a party that night), The kid opened the door. He had a foul stench upon him like no other. His sister talked to me and when she opened her mouth, At least six of her teeth were rotting. Her breath was unimaginably unbearable. I went into the bathroom that night and the whole place was RUST-COVERED! Also, Their family had about seven dogs. The dogs were awesome and adorable, but the family never let them out and they defecated on the floor. To this day, I am wary of blind dates.

Definitely not a turn on. Yeah baby, your BO really turns me on!! I suggest a breath mint and a shower.

Although there are some who might be aroused be earthy smells, I would be repulsed. To paraphrase an old college chum of my mother's, I'd say, Let's keep this platonic.

Eww. Makes you wonder though--in the Middle Ages it was rare for people to take baths, yet somehow the race managed to reproduce itself. I don't want to think about it too hard though.

Pretty hard to get past a bad smell.
