I personally thinks she's BEASTLY!!!! I am in theater and have taken a number of acting classes. I'm not f-ing amazing but I have enough experience to know what is talent and what is not and what this little girl has is talent! Oh yeah, and for a lot of you, I bet you've never even seen any of her movies to begin with. And have you people seen her list of films?! If she sucked, she would be able to land the number of roles that she has! An another thing that I've learned from personal experiences is that the better you are, the more likely you are to be insulted. So all of you are bashing on Dakota; get a life and Dakota if you're reading this; just keep rockin' aside from what others say because thats what true stars do :-)

Dakota, from a young age, has been a TREMENDOUS actress. How many actresses out there can show the raw depth that this girl has. Fear, "Man on fire", wondering if she's a mental case, "Hide and Seek", to the joy of being a child "Charlotte's web". I truly think this girl, on the verge of being a woman, is going to truly go down in history as one of the best! And now her sister is getting on the scene too, should be fun to see if both of these girls will get to act in the same movie :)

Dakota Fanning is one of those young actresses who has an occasional good flick. The only good acting I've seen her do was in "Trapped" and "Man On Fire". With those two as the only exceptions, she is not impressive.

But let's clarify what "good acting" is, shall we? I believe that a good actor will cause me to forget that they are acting. They will put themselves in their character's situation and convince themselves that what they are experiencing is reality. Now this is coming from a professional actor, just so you know.

In my opinion, Dakota either overacts, or underacts. She can't seem to find the perfect medium that is needed. When watching her act, I never feel like I'm watching real emotion.

When I first saw Dakota in Man on Fire, I was sheer awe struck at her ability to bring out such emotion on screen. I completely broke down at the end of that movie. As an actor, she has an amazing sense of the roles she plays and the ability to become her character on screen. I went on to see Hide and Seek, where her performance was astounding and right up there with Deniro. Seeing her in I am Sam was one of the greatest joys and I feel she completely deserved the screen actors guild award (which she won for her performance in that movie at the age of 7). Dreamer was truly one of the most touching family movies I have ever seen and am not surprised that the director replaced a boy role with Dakota Fanning. I then saw Uptown Girls and was actually touched very deeply by it. Dakota role was essential to have a realistic performance in that film and I felt she captured her character completely. Plus it was adorable watching her in that role. At the end of War of the Worlds it is not Tom Cruise that everyone remembers, it is Dakota Fanning. She was phenominal in Trapped and made me bawl my eyes out in Taken. She has touched me as an actress, and I hope she will have a long successful career. Plus, she is soooo cute. P.S.-- Me no like Hounddog!!

She is a high-caliber actress that deserves more recognition and accolades, and also the chance to be understood for who she is-a little girl who charms her way into our hearts in every role she takes.
