Incredible span of greatness. His singer-songwriter influence on folk, pop, rock and country is undeniable. IF YOU COULD READ MY MIND may be the most beautiful song ever written. A Canadian Treasure to be sure.

I take serious abuse for somewhat liking this guy. . ."What the hell is this doing next to the Metallica section?!"

Gordon's a fine songwriter and has his share of good tunes, but he's sort of one of those guys who's best in small doses for me.

While his style of music normally doesn't do it for me, The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald has always been a favorite of mine...he is an excellent songwriter.

Not really my type of music, but "Carefree Highway" remains one of my favorite songs. He has a pleasant voice, but his more popular songs have a tendency to run on and on and on...

one of the best songwriters of our time. Great voice. Nothing like getting up on a saturday at 7 am and hearing Carefree Highway on some AM station. Oh, Momma!

A fine voice and a better than average song-writer. Most famous for The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald but my favourite is one of his first works called Early Morning Rain.

Lite 70s pablum. We haven't heard much from Gordon Lightfoot for the last 25 years, and I'm hoping the trend continues.
