Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum 5

Definately something worth seeing while in London. The figures are amazingly realistic and lifelike, and the vintage clothing is impressive. There's plenty of history to be learned here, and in a fun way that will appeal to everyone from young children to the elderly.I especially enjoyed the Macabre displays, which are definately NOT for everyone,as they are quite gruesome. There is now a Madame Tussauds on 42nd Street in Manhattan, but I have not gone in it yet as the admission is a bit steep.

I loved Madame Tussaud's, it was one of my favorites. I had my picture taken beside Pope John Paul and Crocodile Dundee and enlarged them. I can't wait to come back and visit. Loretta K Piketon, Ohio

Visited it on saturday, 2003-02-15. The wax-figures faces are incredible. Other parts of the bodies is not so good (ex. the hands). A new live attractions is now available in the basement in the horror section. Really frightening when some of the figures start moving...

It must be seen once, but I wouldnt feel motivated to go again. Although it is amazing being able to create such lifelike copies, the amazement seems to end after first visit.

Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum 5

A few years ago I visited the wax museum and stood next to a man who was admiring some of the items on view. I became conscious of the fact that he wasn't moving very much. Yes, you've guessed it! The "man" was one of the exhibits (it was of the British broadcaster and writer Malcolm Muggeridge). Whilst feeling thoroughly stupid for mistaking a wax figure for a human being it brought home to me how unbelievably realistic some of the exhibits are. If you're in London, you really shouldn't miss this experience!

It's really amazing some of the things they are able to create out of wax and even more amazing how lifelike some of these figures are at Madame Toussad's. Truth be told it's more than a little creepy but worth checking out.
