Great college bong music. . .decent guitar songs. . .not much else, but it's in my CD collection somewhere. . .no sugar tonight, indeed. . .

In their classic lineup they had the benefit of two excellent songwriters in Randy Bachman and Burton Cummings who's interests and skills covered a much wider range of musical styles than was in vogue in the classic rock era. Cummings was also one of the best voices in rock at the time. Creative tensions between the two lead to a string of great albums in a short period, but also resulted in the burnout and departure of Bachman. Cummings soldiered on with an adequate band for another 5 years and had a handful of decent singles, but the late 60's early 70's period set a standard of creativity that not many bands have met before or since.

Probably the best selling band in maple rock history, worthy of consideration for the R&RHoF

Best all time Canadian group and one of the best from around the world.

One of the better lite 70s pop groups. These Eyes was a silky, effortless paean to heartbreak. Laughing was enjoyable, but I didn't care for their one rocker, American Woman.
