I was saved at the Church of the Harvest in 97. The Lord led me there in a really dark time in my life. I sometimes went to the morning, night, and Wensday service after I got saved. I went for over two years to at least one service a week there. I don't really go to any church anymore because I'm kind of lazy and selfish. Although my faith was strong at one time, my faith is not what it use to be. Hopefully that will change in the future. But as far as Bishop McClendon is concerned, nobody should judge him. We all have fallin short of the glory of GOD. I know I do on a daily basis. It's kind of hard for people and myself included to put there trust in Bishop McClendon because of his past and the amount of money he recieves. But if you don't want to go to his church, you can go to a different one. Every pastor out there does wrong here and there. Don't come on here and say stupid comments about the man. Your asking to be judge by doing that. It's cool to have an opinion, but remember he is still a man of GOD.

I can not believe how so much time is spent by christians waiting for other christians to stumble and fall.  What happened to "the spiritual restoring the ones that weak".  I truly believe that some people keep sin scores on others so that they won't feel guilty about the sin that is in their own lives.  What we must remember is that sin has no weighing scale; all sin is wrong.  Whether you are a gossip or greedy for money or a drug addict.  It is the responsibility of the believer to live righteously no matter who is doing wrong.  It does not matter if you are a preacher, bishop, usher, or bench member.  You are required to live right before God and let your light shine before people.  There are no short cuts because you don't stand up in the pulpit.  What about simply being a light in the dark world.  Every christian is supposed to do that.  There is no elite heaven and peasant heaven for those who are not preachers and bishops, etc...  Ushers should show Christ just like bishops  We are supposed to pray for our brother and sisters.  If  Bishop M. is doing wrong ask God to fix his heart.  Stop the gossip and rumours (which is a sin anyway).  The world is looking in on the church and this is not a good example to show. Talk to the Lord about this  man if he is not doing right.  God is the only one who can fix a person's heart.  Get yourselves together too; while you are checking his sin out; look at the beam that is in your eye.

All I can say is Whow to those who pass judgement. He/She without sin cast the first stone. Things we Christians do in the name of Religion. Nobody knows his story, but him and God. I pray for deliverance in anybody who is passing judgement on this man of God. We ALL are called and we ALL have sin in our lives. Please talk to God about Him, don't condemn him on the Web, what if someone put your stuff out there, how would you feel. Ecclesiastes 7:20 - There IS NOT a righteous man on earth who does what is right and NEVER sins. Be Blessed!!!!

What I wrote below is not a rating but my personal feelings on the broad topic of television evangelism.  I wrote them under the Clarence E. McClendon subtopic because it was the only one I had really read at the time.  I happened across it and this site while running searches trying to find the Full Harvest International Church Website, which was offline for a while.  I found that The Lord indeed blessed and gave me clear directions through messages I saw on the telecast.

I gave a four rating for the numerical reference only.  I'm for inspired and prolific preaching.  I'm far from a prude and I try to heed Davids example in not dealing in matters higher than myself.  I believe anyone who heeds a divine calling and opens their lives and personal decision making to scrutiny from any and everyone, should be commended.  Much of the good they do is so often overshadowed by reckless judgments and innuendos.

Aside -                                                                                                                      My view on tv evangelism in general...   I do feel that celebrity, sometimes, has a tendency to cloud ones better judgment and ones soul adversary, of course, is not going to make hearing clear direction from The Lord any easier especially if you are a leader of Bible believers.  One error I think some (a lot) of televangelists make is speaking definitively on matters (a disproportionate number of which are spiritual) when God only is infalable.  With words resembling 'take my word for it' they give false hope and build upon a pedestal only The Lord Himself is exempt from falling from. Not only should we not lean to our own understanding (Proverbs 3:5), we should not lean on theirs unless it is thoroughly rooted in scripture.  We should trust and lean on The Lord and Him only.  Paul encouraged us to follow him as he followed Christ.  To me that means that at the exact point where the preachers actions or words deviate, there (and only there) should we.  I wouldnt think a coup (or preacher bashing) would be in order, though.  Prayer and rational judgment are far more fruitful than aggression or passivity.  Samuel was still under the leadership of Eli even though he was obviously falling short of his high calling. (I don't know Bishop McClendon's personal decisions or situation.  When I view telecasts I listen to hear what thus saith the Lord, to hear Scripture revelations.  What do I or anyone else, except God, have to do with his personal life!)  Samuel continued to  be obedient to Eli but sought direction from God.

We tend to put too much of our faith in mere man and mere men sometimes accept far more homage than they can hold.  And sadly the worst part of a scandal among believers (whether real or manufactured) is that it gives The Lords enemies opportunity to blaspheme (2 Samuel 12:14)...

Read more of these TV Evangelist ratings ... if you don't beleive me.

Webster could actually use some of these ratings to exemplify blasphemy.

Bishop McClendon preached here in our area recently. He preached a good word. The gifts come without repentence. If your life were put under God's microscope what would He find? Hmm, lying, hate, stealing, cheating, fornication, bitterness, gossiper, adultery, laziness, slothful, judgemental disposition, coveting, malicious slander; Would He see you drinking, smoking, partying at the club? Are you "perfect?" I wonder what would God find under His microscope on you??? I am certain, like Bishop McClendon, He'd find a SINNER saved by His grace!

AND THIS WILL ONLY BE BECAUSE YOU DON'T SPEND TIME WITH GOD BUT WAITING FOR THIS EVILSPIRIT TO LIE TO YOU WITH HIS "PREACHING" THIS GUY MAKES ALMOST$ 500 000 A NIGHT ON A CRUSADE! MY GOD! I'M WAITING FOR HIS DOWNFALL, IT WILL HAPPEN BECAUSE GOD CANNOT BE MOCKED

I rate this a 4 star. Bishop McClendon is an anointed Man Of God that has been sent to preach to this lost and dying world. In 2002 I went through a very trying time; but God sent this man of God via television, to preach my deliverance,my growth, my steadfast, my faith in the Lord. I received teaching from his ministry that I did not receive in 25 years in my local church. God bless you Bishop McClendon, and keep doing what God has called you to do, and that is to preach the Word of God. God has already forgiven you, just like He has forgiven me.

Clarence E. Mcclendon is a false teacher. That's blame to see. Jesus said that a tree is known by the fruit it bears. A healthy tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a diseased tree bear good fruit. Does a spring pour forth from the same opening both fresh and salt water? The answer is no, according to the Bible. Plus, ministers are to be held up to a very high standard according to Paul's letters to Timothy...as some people here already pointed out. Since Mr. Mcclendon has failed to live up to such standards, despite his feelings, he should not be placed in a position of leadership in the local body of Christ. That's just the way it is. It's usually those who like this guy who try to make all kinds of excuses for him to still be able to teach what their itching ears want to hear, but for those of us who prefer to stay true to what Scripture states...we cannot ignore the obvious.

I rate this guy w/ a single star. He shouldn't have any, actually.

i commend him on being true to his heart....for him to stay married and pretend he was happily married and his marriage was Godly bliss would have been the true hypocrisy and lie ...i feel so many preachers or even church going christians do just that....all because they dont want to face peoples scrutiny....he did what i m sure he felt was right and even if it wasnt ....i believe God will and can still bless him and annoint him...we are only human...look at david and bathsheba ....david took matters into his own hands because of his feelings for her and while he was rebuked and suffered the loss of their first child ...God honored his choice and blessed them...with solomon and on and on his offspring from which Jesus came...God honored rachel and jacobs love and the bible is full of how God honored human love and emotions....even though tilted from the fall i still believe natural desire and love for someone is how He created us....in His image....i dont feel any judgement toward clarence mclendon....i feel he is very annointed...and i get blessed from his teachings which i feel are very insightful and inspiring....i pray God continue to bless him greatly....i pray his soul prospers....what happened in his marriage the last one or this one is between the parties involved and God ,,,,not anyone else....not you, nor me.....WHO MADE ANY OF YOU HIS JUDGE? ....since you want to quote scripture ....on who and what he should be....then why dont YOU remember the scripture about satan being an accuser of the brethren....or when Jesus said not to judge....GO BACK TO YOUR BIBLES AND READ UP ON THOSE ....SEE IF THE HOLY SPIRIT ISNT TRYING TO TELL YOU SOMETHING....let God deal with your brothers faults or percieved faults .....THOSE THAT ARE SPIRITUAL WILL PRAY....most of you are not spiritual ....you are religious ...and have a mean spirit toward your poor brother.....

I wonder if Jesus had a Ph.D....oh...my bad...maybe it didn't matter back then.  So much for the 21st century church.  Just like African Americans, we take pride in killing each other.....

If some of you took more pride in reading your WORD rather than listening to the media, maybe we would have hope.  Respond....call me ignorant....whatever....  Let's see who is pleasing God and who isn't.  After all, even if you considered McClendon and enemy of yours, you are still supposed to be praying for him, not putting him on blast.
Sad......

McClendon, another friend of Earl Paulk's.  McClendon got involved in Paulk's sexcapades over at the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit too, and Paulk performed the wedding ceremony that McClendon had 5 days after his divorve to wife #1 was final. As you're reading this, McClendon is likely receiving his subpoena to appear at Paulk's sexual molestation trial in Atlanta. Can't wait to see how he tries to explain away his involvement under oath.

I have been at McClendon's for years and experienced both good and bad. But the fact remains that we are all human beings trying to get it right before God and I understand that men of God should operate at a higher level of integrity but that does not always happen. Our responsibility as believer's is to uplift and intercede for the men and women of God that are preaching the Gospel. If you are not in agreement with the vision of a particular house then it is more helpful for you to leave and pray for God's direction than sit there and run the man of God down. The bottom line for us all is that it is because of God's mercy's that WE ARE ALL NOT CONSUMED AND HE THAT IS WITHOUT SIN CAST THE FIRST STONE. Many of you can't deal with Bishop McClendon's fall from Grace, so to speak, because you don't have the courage to face your sins. How can you take the mote out of your brother's eye and there is a plank in yours!

No one has the right to claim to be saved and judge someone. Sorry that is not written in the Bible. People are experiencing lack in their life because of what is coming out of their mouth. There are people dead right now because of what they said about Bishop McClendon. I can vouch for that. You either speak life or death and people do not seem get this. Life and death are in the power of the tongue according to the Word of God. Yes I am taking comments personally because Bishop is my spiritual father and people are telling lies. They are still focusing on drama the supposedly happen 5+ years ago. He and his ex-wife both made mistakes while being married to one another. If God has forgiven him, why can't man? Because most so-called Christians are turned on by drama. No one will know the true story so voicing your opinion based on what you heard or read in a so-called Christian magazine is not wise. Like I previously stated, we as Christians are to cover one another in prayer, not back bite and gossip. If he is so wrong, why are so many people who left the church because of this coming back and apologizing to him? This was prophesied to him by a few well-known men and women of God and is now coming into manifestation. People get upset when a man or woman of God preaches a message concerning giving. If anyone has read the Old Testament, they will see God was very clear when it came to giving. This is why there are chapters focusing on the different types of offering. People do not connect giving to blessing. People are so qucik to put their mouth on Bishop because of this. If he is all about the money as people say, why did he put up his house to secure the land at 777 as well as cash in his life insurance policy to pay off some of the expenses as well? No one is gossiping about this are they. People are judging a man who loves God based on his past. Not even based on the facts about his past. The word that comes out of this man's mouth is a rhema word from God. It has blessed me and my household tremendously. Sowing the seed of $777 has changed my life. My husband and I own a very sucessful restaurant. We live in a brand new 2-story, 4 bedrooms, 3-full bath home. I am in business school and passing with a B average and will have no loans to pay back once I graduate in 4 months. We are serving directly under our Pastor and First Lady here in Las Vegas. All of this is due to my obedience to God. My relationship is with God first, then Bishop McClendon. I know that when I receive a prophet, I receive a prophet's reward. All I have to say is Bishop is annointed and hears from God on a different level than most preachers. Maybe you are not called to sit under his ministry, but this does not give you the right to judge him. Let's focus on what he preaches and focus on the fruit he produces.

I just wanted to let the people who read this page know that Clarence McClendon is a wonderful person.
I knew the Bishop as a personal friend. When I met him, I was a lost soul. He took the time to reach out to me & show a way out of the mess I had ended up in. He was neither arrogant or selfish in his friendly guidance. In fact I had no clue he was even a Bishop. He had no motives for money or recognition. He acted in an extremely humble manner. He never judged me, never looked down on me, AND HE HAD NO AUDIENCE- His acts of kindness were recognized by no one other than God. He is one of the few people that has made a major difference in my life. I am sure you all have had at least one person in your life this memorable.
I know the Bishop has helped & will continue to help many others. It saddens me to see so many casting stones at him. Sure he went through some personal storms...Haven't we all? But his personal storms do not make him a bad person, they make him human.
Last time I checked there is only one who is beyond sin.
Well good people, I really hope that my sharing of my experience with the Bishop was helpful. I am grateful to ever have know him...He is definetly one of the most amazing people I have ever known & he will always be held in respect in my heart.

God Bless you all :)

I think that we all need to understand that this is a man. He has the word of God in his mouth. The problem with the church today is that we are soooo close to the world that we have fairy tale expectations for the preachers that we see. It's amazing; the people who have these terrible comments to say about this man of God must not read their Bible. Noah was a drunk. Twice, Abraham (Abram) lied and told people that Sarah (Sari) was not his wife but his sister. His son, Isaac, did the same thing. Jacob deceived his own father to steal the blessing from his brother. David took another man's wife and had her husband killed mafia style. And he was a man considered after God's own heart. And there are many more historical accounts of individuals who would seemingly be disqualified from the standards and expectations of our holier than thou society. When you read the story in Epistle of Hebrews, the violations that they committed (where we would have written them off) are not even mentioned. This shows us that God has made that part of your story null and void. Now there are consequences to the decisions that he has made, and we must allow him and his family to privately deal with those choices. This is our problem. We are so busy rating people that we do not grasp the opportunity for us to grow and develop our relationship with God. Who is rating you? Who is rating me? We must consider taking that which has been given to us by God and being sure that we double it. This is the only way that we get a good rating from God. Well done thy Good and faithful servant. Those who do not produce are placed in outer darkness where there is not revelation of who God is (Matt 25). Again, He is a man. Not perfect, but heading toward perfection in Christ. The Bible declares, "...He who begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ" (Phil 1:6). I would encourage you to see the performance of God in Bishop McClendon's life. It is God who is performing and will continue to perform until Christ be fully-formed in him.

HE USED TO BE A RIGHTEOUS MAN OF GOD. MANY PEOPLE WERE HURT AND HAVE NOT RETURNED TO WORSHIP BECAUSE OF HIS BREECH OF ETHICS 5-6 YEARS AGO. I LOVE AND MISS HIM, SISTER MAC...MANY A BROKENHEART...GOD HAS MENDED AND TENDED TO THOSE WHO LOVE THE LORD AND SEEK THE KINGDOM FIRST!!! I AM PRAYING FOR HIM TO RETURN TO HIS FIRST LOVE. JESUS CHRIST AND HIM CRUCIFIED! THERE IS A SPECIFIC ANOINTING THAT GOD HAS GIVEN HIM, AND THERE WERE THINGS GOD HAD PROMISED HIM WHEN HE WAS MARRIED TO SISTER MAC...THE GIFTS AND CALLING ARE WITHOUT REPENTANCE.

PAX!

I chose 3 stars because in order to comment a rating was required, not because I feel compelled to announce a judgment. I do wonder this much: why do so few people know how to spell "anointed", even those who use it in their screen names? Please, cut down on the "n's".

well i am not here to bash but he does not care about any of you.
so, while you are praising and exalting him he is doing exactly what he feels is right, with no regard for anyone, and how they feel. i am glad that God has the last say and He will have the last laugh.
church of the harvest was not a church of love, they were very cold hearted and all about ego.
i don't know where the church is located now and don't care...and whatever God sees fit to do with him is fine.
as far as him being the best preacher, i have heard him preach some good messages in the past, but there are a lot of people who can preach, so if you feel he is the best then you must live in a dry place.
that's all i have to say on the matter.

Bishop Mc Clendon is a man of God that truly hears from God, He has changed my life and my way of thinking and operating in this time. Bishop is a great Teacher, preacher, healer Etc...But he is also man, So what people need to do is stop looking at his down falls, we all have them, we are not perfect. We should focus on all the good thing this man of God as done in peoples life. We need to stay out of his life and learn how to continue ours.Bishop Mc Clendon you are a man from God, do your assignment that God has places in your hands and let those that fall ,fall. I support you.

I know his son Brice and he tells me everything. He told me that Bishop cheated on his wife with Pracila (his current wife). While he was still married, he took Pracila to Bermuda for a crusade. She was siting on his lap and everything. I couldn't believe it. He is a man of God, but he really does need to come forward and confest. He also purchsed a Bentley about 2 years ago. He was driving it down Sunset when he was drunk and totaled it. Then he asked his son to take the rap for it. I visited his church about 2 weeks ago and noticed his brand new 2007 S550 Benz. Crazy man...

Jesus said "Why do you call me good, only God is good", when questioned by a young man. First and foremost you must look to God directly for yourself. When you do this and you realize the true radical nature of Jesus and the kingdom, you'll see that Mcclendon has the same spirit as the one Jesus has and now yourself also. How many boring, "practical", non power filled b.s. sermons can you people listen to? If you dont know what I'm talking about you might not ever. Reread the book of John. Let me give you a taste. "A servant is not greater than his master, but when he is fully trained he will be just like him". Again "The works that I do, you shall do also, and greater works than these". Do you think he was refering to his carpenter days? He goes on throughout explaining that his followers will cast out demons, perform miracles, speak in tongues and other great exploits. He basically tells the pharisees not to believe he is the Son of God if he doesnt do the works of God and the like. This kind of Christianity is rare. I know there are probably many preachers who abuse these kind of powerful messages, but to disregard "faith" and clasify these as heretical, is to disregard the most powerful books and passages in the Bible. Clarence is definitely the best preacher I have ever heard and I can hardly stand listening to any others on T.V. For those who havent heard him I strongly recomend it. It is a great change from classical, weak, "practical", having a form of godliness but not believing the power therein, kind of Tony Robbins humanistic crap. I have never seen a preacher as entertaining as Mcclendon, though even he and ofcourse myself are a long way from doing "Greater works than these". Never the less, I definetly feel we have the same spirit and are going in the same direction. If you have any trace of the Holy Spirit I think you would enjoy his show. The first time I heard him I thought to myself "this guy talks just like I think". Also notice the passionate opinions he generates. You either hate him or you love him. No half steppen here.

What about the injustice in the world. Can we oppose rapists? pedophiles? And if yes, what about media that encourages such behavior? Some sin is still unjustified in our culture but I fear this will not be for long. If these acts become "legal" in our country does that mean they are morrally OK. God will also judge the weak. On that day when we stand before God we indeed will be judged for our blatant sins of commission and ommission when we stood idly by and let sinners delight in the path to destruction. DO NOT condemn the voices of truth. The whole world is under control of the evil one and he is using shows like this to promote sin. You will be called upon to explain why you defended the devil's armies and methods. CHOOSE A SIDE. Are you for Christ or against him? Read your Bible again and look for truth not just a way to warp scripture against us. For example, in John chapter 4 when Jesus met the woman at the well, what did he say to her? He told her he could give her "living water" and she replied "'Please, sir, give me some of that water! Then I'll never be thirsty again, and I won't have to come here to haul water.' 'Go and get your husband,' Jesus told her. 'I don't have a husband,' the woman replied. Jesus said, 'You're right! You don't have a husband -- for you have had five husbands, and you aren't even married to the man you're living with now.'" ... Many Samaritans from the village believed in Jesus because the woman had said, 'He told me everything I ever did!" Did Jesus confront her or not? Did he say nothing of her sins? No, he spoke outright to her face of her wrongdoing and because of it there was a harvest of righteousness in her village. Everyone quotes "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone" How about quoting what Jesus told the prostitute that was to be stoned. To the crowd, stones in hand gathered around them: "All right, stone her. But let those who have never sinned throw the first stones! Then he stooped down again and wrote in the dust. When the accusers heard this, they slipped away one by one, beginning with the oldest, until only Jesus was left in the middle of the crowd with the woman. Then Jesus stood up again and said to her, "Where are your accusers? Didn't even one of them condemn you? "No, Lord," she said. And Jesus said, "Neither fo I. Go and sin no more." Homosexuals, drug addicts, sexually immoral, idolators, all sinners require our love supported with our actions to defend them. But they also need our voices saying "I do not condemn you but go and sin no more." There is sin and some day sin will have won victory in many hearts. If it hard for the righteous to enter the kingdom of heaven how much so for the godless and the sinner. I am nearly as angry at unjust condemnation as I am at lost souls. Sinners wandering through this life with hopes placed in a life of sin and a make-believe religion with a God that doesn't care about sin. God forgives our sin but if we continue in our sin, where its forgiveness? Those who continue to sin have neither seen or known God. But, how beautiful are the feet of those that bring good news Friend, be someone who brings good news not a defender of Satan.

Dear Christians, I have been following McClendon for over 10 yearsand find him one of the best. He has brought me out of many dark times in my life. He is focused on the positive. I truely can not judge him on his divorce. Hopefully you that have will remember the casting of the first stone. Thank you for all you have givenBishop. I have a Master's degree and find his method of preaching very informative. I also watch Joyce Meyers, Hagee, Parsley, Hinn etc... They all ask for $. So does my preacher every Sunday. Who doesn't.

Bishop Mclendon is only a man at the same time we must take care not to judge him as he will be judged by the Righteous Judge. I say that we should all just keep him lifted up in prayer to the LORD on a daily basis. Now, to those of you out here who have sowed into his ministry, and feel that you have been misled, you may need to consult with the Holy Spirit before you go sowing into anyone's ministry again. I dont know how many of you guys have the Holy Spirit in your lives, but you can rest assured that He will not lead you wrong. Be blessed in HIM everyone!

I give him no stars. The very exercise is sickening. I am saddened by the televangelists' misuse and abuse of the Word. They seem to be unaware that we are living in the last days, conducting "business as usual" when judgement is at the door. This particular Bishop has led so many of his congregants astray by the manner in which he discarded his wife and secured a new one. And these so-called "saved" from Hollywood has brought their free-living lifestyles to the Church to have the very effect we are witnessing. The visible church has succumbed to the temptations of the devil, the self-same temptation Christ triumphed over in the wilderness. They have turned the stones into bread, they have jumped off the pinicle of the temple, and they have recieved Satan's riches by bowing down to worship him. Pity they don't even realize this. The Bishop may lose his soul if he doesn'tt wake up soon!!!

Bishop McClendon is a pastor, preacher, teacher, and most important an evangelist. He is not the next coming of christ, so don't expect him to be. I'm quite sure he knows that fact. One of the things i love about the bishop is, he knows he is not perfect and he does not expect anyone else to be perfect. He does however expect you to continue to mature in your faith, yes with God, but in your everyday relationships with the people around us. Bishop is a special man, but just a man. I have never held a conversation with him, I'm not pretty, or skinny, or have a lot of money, but during a period in my life when my soul and spirit was dying, I would attend the Bishop's church and I truly believe he could feel my pain. He made it his mission to preach life into my bones. He changed my life. He taught me to love God and to have a personal relationship with him. He taught me to forgive, not just for the other person but for my self. He taught me to have faith in myself and until i did, he had faith in me for me. All this he did from the pulpit. No church is perfect, no pastor is perfect. But for a time Bishop Clarence E. McClendon was the perfect person to preach into my life and I did not die. Isn't that what this is all about? Can any one person who has something bad to say about the bishop honestly say they would not take money for performing their profession? Leave him alone, there are those of us he has helped and many more he will continue to help. How many people can say that? Just because he does not flaunt his good deeds, and they are many, does not mean they don't exist or that the Bishop is not a Bishop. I love you Bishop, and i will never forget what you have done for me and many like me. Remember the energizer bunny, we keep going and going and going...... :) Don't take what you know not to be true to heart and don't take what you do know to be true to heart. Just be the you God called you to be, I know you are sensitive, but you truly are making a difference. Do Not Stop, many more people still need you!!!! Be strong, your hands began the foundation and your hands will finish it. I only hope God will let me be a part of it. P.S. the 11th commandent ;)
