A pretty poor excuse to base on a relationship or anything else.

It's okay. It's not like I'm not exactly rich, either.

Not so much being 'poor' but having no desire to better oneself is a huge turn-off for me. . .'poor' doesn't have to be purely financial. . .I've met people with personality aspects I've felt were poor- no desire to grow, no desire to learn, no desire to think for themselves, no desire to leave their sh#tty neighborhood and go to college. . .poor is more about a state of mind as well as a financial state. . .

It seems I didn't understand the rating system when making my initial comment here. I've changed it now. Can't say I've ever liked anyone any more or less because of wealth.

If she is poor in her head, only then it will affect me.

Money doesn't buy happiness, and poverty shouldn't be an issue in a potential relationship at all. I don't consider myself to be a gold-digger. Now if a guy, knowing he's poor, tries to be something he isn't by acting like a hot shot just to try to impress the lady of his dreams -- that, in my opinion, would be a turn-off. I think it's always best to be honest and be yourself in a relationship. Some of the happiest couples don't have a heck of a lot of money. What matters to them is that they have each other. The only way I view money is that one needs a halfway decent amount of it to function in life.

You'd have to be pretty shallow to care about this.

This doesn't matter to me at all. What you have isn't indicative of your character or other attributes.

Irrelevant.
