Well, I don't have a problem with bossy men;as I've said before, it's bossy, bitchy women I can do without. As long as the guy didn't care the bossiness to the extreme, trying to organize every segment of my life, I wouldn't care.

Too hard to be with someone who would always have to dominate me and everything else. Maybe because i have already experienced domineering people in my life, I would tend to avoid a boyfriend or potential spouse who tried to dominate me.

Depends how far the person takes it. Many Alpha personalities are aware of their tendancy to control their environment and know when to back off. Others, of course, take it much too far.. and that's definitely a turn-off.

It really all depends on how dominating the guy is. Sometimes it is a necessity with me that a guy points me in the right direction as I sometimes can make stupid decisions, but it goes both ways.

I have a professor who had an aunt that absolutely dominated her husband. It was so bad that she actually abused the man. Being that she was far larger than him physically and that she was the main breadwinner in the house, he was quite at a loss to do anything. The husband was a door-to-door salesman and when he came home one day with almost no money, the wife pulled out a shotgun at him demanding to know why he didn't have more money. Yeah this is an extreme case. Normally it's not the man being abused. I like balance in relationships, compromise is important on either side. I don't let people domineer me, so it's a turn off. By the way, you might be wondering why did your professor relay to your class a story about his domineering aunt? The topic of the day was sexual equality for a philosophy class. Go figure.

I'm attracted to confidence, very much so. However when someone is actively trying to compensate for their own insecurities by making others feel low whilst elevating themselves actually denotes the exact opposite of confidence. It's almost sad to watch for both the dominator and the dominated.
