 | minkey (36) 07/27/2007 | Really cool park. Just a few years old and there are some great views of the bay and the city. For a few dollars you can buy seats on the lawn and watch the game as well but they sell quick on the weekend nights. It's interesting placement for a ballpark, right next to the gaslamp district downtown so you have to park downtown and walk to the ballpark. So no tailgating which is a bummer for some folks but I'm sure it cuts down on the raucous crowd. A nice alternative altogether is to park across the bay and take a $5 cab ride over which is a cool ride. And the park itself is very nice, the sandstone stucco look is quite lovely.

 | sschroed (0) 07/09/2007 | It has some feel of Wrigley to it, which makes it generally a nice place to see a game. Avoid the upper level because of the steep grade if you can.

 | T Pierce (0) 10/12/2005 | What a Beautiful, Prestine Ballpark. I love they way they have mixed old with new and those sand colored towers are a unique and strriking piece of architecture.

 | Alexg681 (1) 02/04/2005 | This a very nice, unique new stadium that the Padres needed because Jack Murphy Stadium was ugly as hell.

 | Blu858 (0) 08/24/2004 | This is an awesome place. The architecture is spanish/San Diego with many quirky delights. Highlights are;1.) the historic western metal building with a nice view on top, a club on the forth level, the left field foul pole actually painted on the corner of the building. 2.) The park at the park, which is a park beyond center field where you can watch the game for $5! This park will only get better as the trees grow.3.) Friendly ushers. 4.) many beautiful girls(san diego state? 5.) Adjacent to the gaslamp quarter which has a multitude of bars/resturunats. 6.) we spent the entire day walking in the vicinity and we would have stayed longer if we could have. So maqny things to see right there inc. Seaport village, Coronado with a hisroric hotel( the Del) a short ferry ride away, the navy warships( we took a boat tour, great!), walking along the harbor- with a tasty lunch at Anthony's fish grotto. What a day!

 | Aneudy25 (0) 07/06/2004 | The food is bad, and there's way too many ads. The park itself is nice and clean, but I guess that's because when I went it was a week old. Not the greatest of parks, It should've been constructed better. You would have thought the builders would've done a better job knowing they used to play at Qualcomm Park..There's not much of an upgrade at Petco Park, I feel really bad for the Padres fan!

 | genero (0) 06/08/2004 | The only baseball stadium where every square inch of wall space is covered by advertisers ads. It's a shame the builders never took the time to see what a real ballpark - like Wrigley - is supposed to look like. And the food is horrible.
