Politics aside O'Franken Factor (ha ha ain't that name funny)(no) is a snoozer of a show. It has the slow pace and lack of energy that makes NPR sound like a your local "morning zoo".

Al is running for orifice. Bears striking similarities to the Three Stooges running the country of Moronika. Hopefully he'll cast (oops) select Carrot Top as his VP and Howard Dean as Secretary of Defense.

Garbage. The guy isn't funny and he's an awful radio host.

Al Franken is a joke to society.

The right wingers don't like Al because he has very smart people on his show, intellectuals they call them! Not to mention the debunking of the BS put out by oreilly and limbaugh. And... he plays the Grateful Dead!

Top10 for boring in talk radio. I don't think he has any idea on how to capture the attention of radio listeners. He might be better on TV... uh...nah....

I listen to his show nearly every day, at least part of it. I only listen to it because at a "2" it is the best thing on radio "liberals" have to offer. He can interview well, but moderate democrats appear to not be represented by anyone, even though they make up the largest segment of the democratic party.
If Al Franken is the best liberal media has to offer ( which he seems to be) then we better get use to living in a bush apostate theocracy. Democrats don't have a snowballs chance in hell.

Love the Wait, Wait, Don't Lie to Me and the Oyoyoyo Show segments. Miss his female sidekick however.

His delivery is just so....boring! The commentary is excellant, but Al has the most annoying delivery I have ever heard. I have a hard time listening although the subject matter and guest are very interesting. Its Al's voice that makes me tune out.

Excellent show! Al Franken has a dry sense of humor and very witty show that is very educational.

Its no wonder people wont pay for this garbage. This shows intellectual vacancy is just stunning.

I love the fact that liberals choose people like Al Franken to be their voice. I think the greatest conservative conspiracy was that they somehow worked behind the scenes to get Al Franken on the air, put Howard Dean in charge of the DNC and will get Hillary on the Dem ticket in 2008. I often wonder if any liberal understands the difference between a fact and a belief. Al believes he is a radio host but in fact he is still a comedian.

Four Stars for an alternative to the prevalent and negative afternoon talk shows. Al Franken's co-host is Katherine Lanpher. It is not the voices of America. It is a call in show, but not for listeners, they listen in to phone conversations among mostly like minded and known people that want to be overheard. Imagine a show in the same style except they are unaware that they are being overheard. It would be an eye opener for many and explain why the democrats keep giving it all away at the peoples expense. People listen in on conversations with guests that cover everyday issues that will impact their lives in major ways, either now or in the future. Al's guests earn a living because of politics, it affords them a living standard that is considerable higher than the people their topics address. {No worries about affordability}. His guests include ex-two term governor of Ark. Bill Clinton, whose salary use to be in the mid 30's before he became a two term president. He is now one of the many fast and easily made multi-millionaires and still adding. One of Bill's major legacies will be that he promoted and signed legislative trade policies that went totally against his parties interest especially the people they supposedly represent. Another of Bill's legacies is his gathering on a small island in the early nineties that included all the important movers and shakers from the political, business, media and academic worlds. One of its outcomes was the reporting or {not reporting} of the news. After the many take back America outcries, they came to an agreement to report less of the bad news It just gets the people angry. I forgot to mention gossip that is also a form of entertainment. Al and Katherine include comedy that makes it worth listening to. Al better stick to comedy, his worst joke so far was his singing, all my pets left the room.

It's the show you can piont to your kids and say I rember this guy when he was funny.

This guy tells it like it is he gits to the bottom of right wing spin in a big hurry.

Finally, a voice of reason for the moderate to liberal among us.

Generally entertaining and informative, but not as polished as Randi Rhodes.

the thing is al franken tells the truth, he doesnt want to be humiliated by his conservative enemies because he makes up things and twists the facts, the way that he has caught bill o'reily and ann coulter. is he loud and passionate yes, i can see how that would get on a conseratives nerves because i can relate but at least he isnt just compiling whatever crap he can to push an agenda.

Great interviews with people who know what they are talking about. Al & Katherine are a terrific team, I never miss thier show.

Leave it to the libs to have an ex comic (who was never funny) as their commentator on politics. That is why the libs can't get anyone elected anymore, they rely on Hollywood hype not true character and intelligence.

I really try to hear both sides but I just can't stand it when all democrats do is bash Bush without offering another positive agenda. Besides, he is so boring.

Excruciating to hear al-Franken stumble along losing his train of thought. It must be really hard for him because he can't use the word f**k on the air to help him articulate his points. Chalky's right, people like Franken blow it for the Democrats come election time.

I'm a Democrat and people like Al Franken are why we as Democrats have problems. That's why Kerry lost cause he associated himself w/liberals like Franken, Streisand, H.Clinton, and Affleck.....He's a liberal loud-mouth, and gives a bad name to us centrist Democrats. God help him if he runs for senate in MN cause #1 he doesn't live there and #2, he'll get crushed by Coleman.

Freaking on the money. Al rules. So does Randi Rhodes. The kool-aid drinking ditto-d!cks fear this man? Listen to the spew they espouse. It's almost as comical as Al himself. We live in Opposite World, where pig-headedness is a virtue and group-think is good. Disgusting... How blind has America become? All of these rapture freaks should just move to Texas(Save Austin) and complete the task. Leave us reasonable people alone.

Just painful to listen to! Mr. Franken was not very funny on SNL and he has translated that lack of talent to radio quite nicely. The show really has NO redeeming entertainment value at all. Of course, since Air America has fewer listeners than UPN has viewers, at least the marketplace is voicing their opinion of Mr. Franken as well. BTW, for someone who clearly beleives the Right is mean spirited and cruel, Al can certainly spew the venom himself, can't he? Now if he just did something, ANYTHING that resembles entertainment... UGH!

Absolutely brilliant! Attention Ditto-heads: You owe it to yourself to give it a listen, better yet, listen to it for a week, and dont believe Al, fact check everything he says, dont worry about missing Rush, as Al will play you Rushs lying highlights. This aint a left/right thing here its a truth/lies thing. I used to listen to (and believe) the crap put out by the right wing. Thanks to the Internet, I can now fact-check for myself, and wouldnt you know it, it turns out that I was believing lies, easily documented lies. Why the media didnt bother to bring this to anyones attention is a whole nuther issue, but do yourself a favor, find out what the truth is. Bush & Co. are lying to you and misleading you while they rob you and your family of your future. Viva Franken!

It actually pains me to not give this show a 5. Unfortunately, while Al is a genius, and very funny, his talk show is not. Unfiltered (also on Air America) is a much better show!

Al Franken's show, the O'Franken Factor, is a refreshing change from the daily spewing of liberal bashing by the chickenhawks on the right. Such as rush limbaugh, sean hannity, neal boortz,michael gallagher and the likes. To have only been on the air less than six months, Al is holding his own in the ratings. Keep exposing their lies Al!!!

The Al Franken Show (it dropped the O'Franken Factor name in mid-July after failing to get Bill O'Reilly to sue us) is a work in progress. As talk radio, it is definitely a meaty program when it comes to information. Unlike some of the lighter shows which are host-driven and focused, Franken's show relies on plenty of guests - regulars from policy institutes, a fan of Rush Limbaugh, and plenty of big name guests. Clearly, this is the flagship talk program on Air America and is a must-listen for anyone saturated in conservative talk radio - get the other side for a change. Unfortunately, while Al Franken is a great comedian, he's not a professional talk radio host. His show often focuses on responding to the accusations and charges made by right wing talk shows, which is occasionally entertaining, but seems more akin to defensive radio. Many of the skits on the program fall flat and have worn out their welcome (the Oye Oye Oye Show, meal time, a wee bit of the bathroom humor, etc.,) and one wonders why Katherine Lanpher is even there - she contributes little to the program except to act exasperated at Al's comedic book shilling, and some of the more scatalogical humor. Her frivolity often seems forced, but one might expect that from a former public radio host from Minnesota. The show is important and belongs on the air, and Franken is improving as a show host. Hopefully as he gains confidence in his abilities, he'll be able to reduce the amount of time given to policy institute news reports and other preaching, and he'll actually acknowledge the rest of the Air America lineup, especially Randi Rhodes - a name he has yet to utter on the air.

Aren't we tired of all the bashing of conservative republicans and our moral grip on American virtues? Give me a break. The liberals continue to lose the support of thier own due to the front-line public assaults; Hopefully, all of them will eventually see the light and realize just how disoriented they appear to the us folks.

Much to extremely slanted to the left. Show is not construstive at all. Anyone can sit around and bash Presidents. It takes real thinking to examine the positives and negatives of each politician.

Amazing insight blended with intelligent humor (the anithesis of all the mindless programming from right-wing ego-maniacal thugs like Limbaugh, Savage, etc.

Honesty, integrity, and humor on a talk radio program. Who would ever have thuck it. (Spelling and mispronunciation in honor of our beloved Shrub). Of course there are so many things I thought to never be possible. I never thought that I would have the opportunity to pay more than $2 a gallon for regular gas, $3 a gallon for milk, work 80 hours a week without the egregious burden of overtime pay, and now the opportunity to pass millions of dollars of national debt to my grand children. What a country!

Fair & Balanced. Drug-Free, and Intelligent. One nice counter-point to the screaming world of talk radio. O'Franken Factor (OFF) actually has guests (from left AND right), treats them with respect & isn't afraid to take risks, like maybe losing an argument occasionally. The criticism I have for OFF is for the typical AL Franken one-liners that sometimes work, sometimes don't. But we expected that. OFF, unlike many characterizations, is not very far Left. Indeed, OFF is actually a Center-Left show. OFF will survive, and succeed, as their first ratings release has shown. Even though this show is just a drop in the bucket, O'Reilly, Hannity & Rush listeners now have something to 'make them cringe' hust like I've had to for many years.

I look forward to hearing the O'Franken Factor EVERY MORNING (via computer from the West coast). The guests are informative, while Franken brings his special brand of humor across the airwaves. My favorite segment of the show is My Sirota (sp?); the song is especially fun and the information provided is always insiteful! Also the Oy Oy Oy segment is funny. His ditthead friend, Mark, usually irritates me, but sometimes it's enjoyable; usually when Al stumps him. I'd highly recommend this show, as well as Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them by Al Franken (which also makes a GREAT gift!)

At least Rush stick to facts - even if they are one-sided. The o'franken factor is an uncreative joke.

It's sad to see a once talented guy like Al give in to the dark side of the force and become such a hateful and mean-spirited drone for the appeasement party that he now is. Face it Al...you're ignorant enough, shrill enough and doggone it thinking people just don't like ya!!

This is the worst radio show I have ever heard. It's actually tense to listen because it's like watching someone give a toast at a wedding, trying to tell humorous stories and bombing. Al maybe a good writer (i.e. SNL), but behind the radio mic, he is aweful. Fortunately, Air America won't last much longer.
