There are 2 Bryan Adams. The guy who once cut like a knife; with a tight on-stage band and sharp songs...and ballads. The guy that he morphed into around te time he started to add songs to movie soundtracks and get overly popular is not a guy I vote for her. But in his early pock-mark face days the best was uey to come.

I share Oscar's distaste for this guy, and can only express my gratitude to whatever gods there may be that his "star" seems to have faded away. There was a time, some years ago, when you couldn't turn on the radio without having your ears assailed by one of this guy's migraine-inducing "hits". Another depressing illustration of the fact that you don't need even an iota of talent or passion to become a "success" in what passes for an entertainment industry these days.

If this list had been completed 20 years ago, he'd be on the top (b/c all the high school chicks rating Nickelback as 5 stars would be praising Bryan Adams). I personally (sure, rag on me) enjoyed his early 80's rock stuff, particularly the Cuts Like a Knife and Reckless albums...great radio, sing-a-long stuff for the time. However, after Reckless, he took three years off to decide how he was going to tank his career...then it began. He put out some very mediocre stuff before turning to some serious cheese throughout the 90's. For that, I can't rate him higher than a 4.

I've ragged on this guy before, suffice it to say that he, along with the master tapes of all of his recordings, needs to be placed in a barrel on the American side of Niagara Falls and...you get the picture!

I think she's talented. . .

Early stuff is tolerable. Later stuff is cliched and boring. But, he's better than Nickelback! This much I know!

Being able to craft a catchy guitar-oriented pop/rock song is highly underrated these days.
