08/01/2005 | Addictive show; I enjoy Shonna & The Gang immensely. I'm kinda concerned about Rick's past (time in prison, embezzelment, etc) that seems to taint his role for me. Honestly, I think the way they handle the dearly departed and their families is respectful and gives insight into this 'business'.

06/16/2005 | In spite of myself, despite my pronounced loathing and detestation of 90% of reality (yeah, sure) shows, I kinda like this one. Seems fairly realistic and unscripted. I find myself watching this one much more than the increasingly pretentious Six Feet Under.

09/26/2004 | This and Dr.90210 are my favorite reality shows. When I tell people the Family Plots set up, they give me a look like I have forty five heads! But the show is both funny and emotionally effective. All of the family members display the qurks and eccentricites that everyone has and that's pretty cool (to me anyway).

07/26/2004 | The first time I came upon this show was when they were showing the marathon episodes. I feel in love with it. Very down to earth. It charged me up so I did better on my own job. Wish I had recorded some of the shows. Will there be any new ones?

06/03/2004 | Six Feet Under meets My Big Fat Greek Wedding ... Say what you want but if reality TV is here to stay, it doesn't get more real than this. Shonna (embalmer/head mortician) exemplifies everything that's right with America ... She goes where so few of us are willing (embalming and cosmetizing the saddest of corpses), while working with her two sisters and father (who can be both petty and combative), and is trying to raise her own family. And while juggling all of this, she still has the depth to shed a tear when yet another life has come to an end and she faces the deceased's loved ones. The whole crew to me is a must-see ... You get inside this cast from the first episode.
