he is the poster boy of 15 minutes of fame celebrities. call him whatever you like or say whatever because he didn't create his 15 minute celebrity status all on his own. he had help and thats the one who we should be irritated with.

This guy was a bigger joke then the XFL.  He literally got famous by being 1. Having a repulsive appearance, 2. Having zero musical ability, 3. Barely speaking English.  Honestly no way would America have payed attention to him if he was a clear speaking middle class American.  Instead he was a goofy Asian in a Hawaiian shirt, with broken up speech. America clearly made a mockery out of the fact that he was to oblivious to realize America was actually making fun of him rather then being impressed with his musical ability.  As soon as he said he was getting singing lessons, he basically disappeared from the entertainment scene.

I can die happy if I never have to hear him sing  again!!!

It's kind of depressing when people think "Asian singer," this clown's name pops up.

Yeah, the guy was as untalented a singer as anyone could possibly be. However, William Hung has heart, and for that, he ought to get a little credit. And in reference to numbah16tdhaha's comment, the reason he can outsell K-Fed is because literally anyone has more talent than K-Fed- even William Hung who virtually has no talent as a singer.

He should consider a career in singing novelty/parody songs.

I think William Hung is the best example ever of a 15 minute famer. I'm happy for him that he got such popularity but its too bad most of them just bought his record to make fun of him. Reminds me of when I bought Lou Bega's CD....William's CD is destined to be used as a coster on bachelor coffee tables all over the world.

I love this guy. They milked his bit to death but I howled every time I saw it. The best thing for me is that no matter how long that stupid show is on the air - He, William Hung singing Ricky Martin, will be the best remembered and, in reality, the most successful of any of the pseudo singers that actually won.

Such a truly sad indictment on American culture when an idiot like this becomes a star...

I remember the first time I saw him. I laughed and commented that I liked the little guy. Enough is enough. Make him go away! I have a feeling that as long as American Idol is on the air, William will pop up from time to time.

Revenge of the Nerds in Real time. I like Hung, really I do, because he's....innocent. He's so bad that he's good because he's real and doesnt realize how much of a dork he his. For this he's a likeable kinda guy until.....American Idol made him famous and people had to start hating him. Good for him though. I hope he enjoyed every minute of his fame.

Poor guy. I don't think he realizes people see him as a joke, I think he is really serious about singing, and really thinks he is really good. I admire him for not giving up, but I feel bad for him because everyone is laughing at him.

While I admit his pathetic singing gets maybe a second or two of laughter, it wears away quickly and shouldn't have been dragged out so long. But here's the question that makes us ponder: Does he have any idea how much he sucks?

This guy is the ultimate get rich quick scheme, obviously exploited by money-hungry idiots who knew he would generate tons of publicity solely based on how freaking awful a singer he is. That is the only reason the world knows who the hell he is; otherwise, he'd be just another guy you pass on the sidewalk and not give a second glance to.

How could you not like Hung? He is just so funny, not in a bad way. Just the way he handles himself is enough to love. And his voice is pretty good, if you ignore the accent.

William Hung is a nice guy, but he sucks as a singer. I listened to him sing Take Me Out To The Ballgame and I could not help laughing so hard, I nearly wet myself. This guy is a comic relief as a musician. When he sang the line about peanuts and crackerjacks, He pronounced peanuts as penis. It was a riot! I guess his gimmick is just to be a bad singer like that. Well, I hope when his 15 minutes are up, He doesn't go insane.

Hung is going on his 16th minute of fame. It was amusing at first, because Simon savaged him so visciously. Now it's pointless. He did his schtick at a Piston's game and was booed unmercilessly. Hung looked like he was shot between the eyes by his best friend. Rumor has it, he wouldn't do a charity performance for a sorority at Berkley, because his business manager/dad demanded compensation. Enough is enough, dude cannot sing and never will be able to sing. That in itself is no crime; but deluding yourself is. He should just focus on his engineering career.

William Hung has to be the cutest, most oblivious man in the whole world! But he's sooo innocent that we should all just love him! MARRY ME WILLIAM HUNG!!

The next release will be a Duets CD featuring Hung along with William Shatner singing covers of classic tunes from the 60s and 70s.

Unfortunately this guy's fame is lasting much longer than fifteen minutes. We may even have to hear more of his horrendous singing.

Go hungy! Nah, seriously, if there were less Britney's, but more William Hungs, the world would be a better place.

I think every person has their special ability and qualities to make our world a better place, but singing and dancing is obviously not William Hung's 'thing,' as he is horrendous at both. I honestly feel that people just felt bad for him and wanted to make him feel better, and I do think that is a good thing. But his 15 minutes have long been done..

The anti-idol, he has basically made a mockery out of the whole contest. Simon is a little upset at Hung's new-found fame, which I find amusing.

It is nice to see a good person get the 15 minutes of fame for a change. He seems like he is enjoying his new found fame. As for talent..... well, not so much there. but i wish him well.

He seems like a nice guy and he's having fun with his fifteen minutes. I hope all the attention doesn't go to his head too much.
