Newton's early work was amazing. Until about 1900, Newton's Laws of motion were considered to be the way everything worked, and even today, they are practically a perfect approximation in the non-quantum, non-relativistic limit. He made tremendous contributions in optics, developed calculus at roughly the same time as Leibniz, and his theory of gravitation works incredibly well for describing the way we experience gravity on a regular basis (general relativity is needed for a full description of gravity).
Newton may have become a bit of a crackpot later in life, but Newton's contributions to classical mechanics, optics, and mathematics make him easily deserving of five stars.

HOF smart. . .makes the top ten in smarters MF'ers in Western Civ. . .laws of physics, made his version of calculus to improve his ability as an astromoner, his work is still regarded as the backbone of many other scientific works. Yes, his laws of physics cannot technically be actually proven (due to not actually being tested in a vacuum) and his goofy experiments in Alchemy make a few Brits whistle and pretend it didn't happen- but we're still talking about a major mind here. . .

Newton is most oftenly known as a scientific genius, but what most people aren't aware of is that he wrote more books on Theology than he did science. Newton(along with many other famous scientists) was a very devout Christian.

He was not a nice person. I real jerk, who was very petty in his dealings with Leibniz

What if he would have ate that Apple!

Mr. Newton had a brilliant mind. He invented calculus so that kind makes him scary. Theres no telling what he could have done if he had the technology we have today back then.

Pretty cool guy, think of all the Engineered stuff we would not have without some of his theories. I certainly would have had better grades in school if that apple had stayed in the tree though.
