That's a situation that could be avoided by not sending e-mails like that anyway. Same way with gossipping and the person who is being talked about walks in on the conversation. That, too, can be avoided by keeping your trap shut.

Hell of a buddy you've got there. Of course if you're the dough-head who sent it to the company mailing list, its on your own head.

It would pretty embarassing for an unkind email to end up in the wrong hands. I think this would be why I would be careful not to write anything I would not want seen by someone else by email because it would be so easy for even someone else to send it on to that person as well.

This one would be pretty bad. My guess is that any chap unlucky enough to have this happen is going to be collecting unemployment.
