11/15/2004 | Like all of the great state flags (Texas, California), the South Carolina flag was designed as a flag for an independent country. Better than most national flags.

09/25/2004 | Come on people- do you all really believe this flag deserves to be number one on this list? Or are you all from South Carolina? Look at that thing! It has a nice background and I like the contrast in colors but the thing looks more like a something you'd find burried in the back room of a dollar store rather than as a representative of one of the states in the Union!!

09/24/2004 | Absolutely gorgeous as state flags go. It almost looks like it stand in as the flag for a more tropical, islamic destination, but you can't deny its visual appeal. Plus, it doesn't have lettering and it is still original enough to easily recognize.
