One of those "There was no real reason for this covers": I'll like an interesting, unexpected,or offbeat cover, but not a predictable, connect the dots kind of cover of a song that everybody is, or should be sick of already, and while I like a lot of Van Morrison's stuff, I've been tired of the original for a long time anyway.
Everclear's "Santa Monica"was the only song by them that I ever liked- the rest of what I've heard has been generic. It was a good pop tune, but the rest of their repetoire has been pretty blase. The lead singer has huge eyebrows and, to me anyway,looks like one of those monsters from Sesame Street...
