One of those companies that's easy to hate, largely because they're so ubiquitous, and they seem to have a rather creepy "tentacles of the evil empire" business model, but there is not denying their corporate effectiveness or the benefits of many (though not all) of their products. Trying to avoid them in a computer world has become all but impossible.

Know as a bully and an aggressive monopoly with questional products, especially Windows. More or less a bully, run by the biggest geek in the world, Bill Gates-how ironic is that?

Bill Gates is a freaking business and technology genius. I just absolutely hate Microsoft OS's and programs and the viruses and how it is not user friendly and how it is not Unix based and how it always screws up my work, every system has been highly flawed especially Windows 98. An OS is supposed to be FREE OF BUGS. Very shrewd marketing also. Almost a monopoly, but a very good company

People have said a lot of bad about this company, but to do what they've done is pretty impressive. A standard operating platform for home computers is great. Otherwise, everybody'd be using something different and conversion headaches. What I don't like though lately is that Microsoft is getting a little tight on people with activation and genuine advantage crap. I don't think people are pirating your stuff as much as you think, and if they are, then they're the ones that are finding ways around it. Just find ways to make it easy for the paying customer, and the others will follow.

The company that everybody loves to hate, especially when trying to get any sort of tech support. The intricacies and complexities of todays electronic data industry are hard to imagine. In spite of the problems that Microsoft has encountered, it is truly amazing that any one company has managed to stay on top as long as it has. However, William Gibson is probably not far off in his gloomy and thought provoking visions of the world being contolled by a mega corporation and one wonders if this could be the future role of Microsoft.

A lot of people hate Microsoft, but where would we be without Windows? We would all be using second rate systems like Mac and Lynix. I applaud Microsoft for standardizing the industry. I like the fact that anything I want to do on my computer is supported by Windows.

The one everybody loves to hate, but you can be sure that between my mouse-click and your eyes right now there is a LOT of this company.
