The American version of Hezbollah. Like Hezbollah, Halliburton is a state-within-a-state, absorbing lots of money that would otherwise go to publically funded development of infrastructure. Like Hezbollah, Halliburton controls a fine welfare program, except it's private rather than public, distributing profits to investors and whomever it chooses, with overhead expenses running to an estimated 40-55 percent. Like Hezbollah, Halliburton is not just a private entity; it has a definite political orientation, with a vice president under its thumb and 93 percent of its campaign contributions going to Republicans. Yet unlike Hezbollah, which at least confines its operations within the borders of the state it most directly affects, Halliburton is now run in Dubai, outside the country whose politics it most affects. Yet Halliburton is hardly the worst of the lot; it's just the most prominent of the many powerful private contractors because of the veep connection. The exclusively GOP-supporting Blackwater, for example, has its own private military base in North Carolina, which it built at a price of $50 million. With these forces in place, would a coup be entirely out of the question?

VP Dick Cheney highly recommends Halliburton for our next drilling project(s) somewhere in the Middle East (like Iran, maybe?).

All roads from the Bush Admin. lead to this company! Hopefully, in the end, they will all burn in hell with Enron!

Hurry up, America! Halliburton needs your lower-class kids to join the army and fight in the wrong country all in the name of profits! Don't worry! Don't ask, don't tell is in full force. . .

They are a bunch of evil pro-Bush Nazis who support the President, broke their promise to support our troops in Iraq by sending them supplies, and support higher drug costs for seniors.

Their CEOs should be drafted into the War they are exploiting for profit at taxpayers expense.
