 | HelpfulFeedback (0) 05/11/2008 | I find Mark to be sarcastic and condescending. What a contrast to listen to XM's MLB when Buck Martinez and Billy Ripken are hosting.

 | bob777 (0) 01/02/2008 | MARK PATRICK SHOULD GO BACK TO AM RADIO.HE THINKS FOLKS HAVE XM TO HEAR HIS OPINION."I" IS HIS FAVORITE PRONOUN.I LOOK FORWARD TO "MLB THIS MORNING" WHEN HE IS ON VACATION.THE REASON I GOT XM RADIO IS THAT IT IS NOT ABOUT THE HOST,IT'S ABOUT THE SUBJECT CONTENT AND THE GREAT INTERVIEWS.IF I WANTED TO LISTEN TO AROGANT SELF-CENTERED HOST,I'D SAVE THE XM SUBSCRIPTION FEE AND LISTEN TO ESPN ON AM RADIO.

 | Mikewx1960 (0) 12/02/2007 | MPOS was the best.I listened every day for Mark and his quick wit and great sense of humor.Anyone who didn't like the show must have no sense of humor,or take sports much too seriously.I wish he would go to ESPN radio...I miss my MPOS.

 | JS42 (0) 10/22/2007 | He's rude to the callers. He acts like he's better than them. It almost never fails, you can really hear the tone in his voice change when he talks to someone he respects like Buck. He constantly interrupts callers. It's annoying. He has this sarcastic attitude that isn't funny and when you're sarcastic and can't be funny, it comes off as just mean.

 | JoeWillie (0) 07/10/2007 | I agree with Jim Fix. I listened to Mark for years locally, but only because of the station he was on. He's arroganr on the air, and more so in person. I ran into him at a restaurant and he acted like he was too good to say hi. I also work with a guy that went to high school with him. He said he was a jerk in school too. He's a nobody. His act got old real fast!

 | pegraves (0) 06/22/2007 | I like Mark Patrick on the XM show. What happened to Orestes Estrada? I think the show is better without him nonetheless.

 | jwtraven (0) 06/12/2007 | I liked his schtick in the late 80's to early 90's, then it got old. He was an arrogant smarty aleck even when the situation didn't merit it. Sometimes, it's what you don't say that counts! Oh well, I guess my opinion is that MPOS stands for something else, as in "Mark's a Piece Of .....".

 | bosox86fan (0) 05/03/2007 | I think Mark Patrick comes off as arrogant, condescending, and unfriendly. I really do not enjoy listening to him at all, but I like Baseball This Morning because of Buck Martinez and Orestes Estrada. When Larry Bowa AND Mark Patrick were on the same show together, I could not listen at all because they both come off as arrogant jerks - combined they made the show such a miserable experience. I don't understand how folks can appreciate Mark Patrick's style and "bedside manner" at all.

 | dayll (0) 02/26/2007 | MPOS was the best! I miss it - especially the dressing down of the idiots that link themselves to teams with "MY Raiders" or "When WE play the Yankees next week." Jim Rome and his ilk, the Mike and Mikes etc. are contrived imitators. The only thing I miss more than MPOS is my youth.
Also - be content with Karen's voice my friend. dayll

 | SteveC (0) 12/06/2006 | Mark Patrick rocked. I wish I had XM to listen to him again. I miss him on FOX or WNDE and I hardly listen anymore to those stations now that he's gone. He's 40x better than any other sports radio host out there in my opinion.
Oh, and Dirk La Neck must have been at least OK since Jay Leno copied it shortly after he started doing it. ;)

 | cimichael (0) 02/18/2006 | Mark Patrick is arrogant and condescending. Enough of the schtick. "Big Chair", "Jason Mike", "Outstanding". It sounds like bad local radio. I had no issue with him initially on XM, but as time went on and his personality came out I began to listen elsewhere. I am a die hard baseball fan, but just can't stomach him anymore. Hopefully XM will get the message, but based upon the general response here, he seems to be here for a while.

 | wefoss (0) 01/03/2006 | Mark Patrick is a very funny man with a quick wit. I loved his show because it was much more than just sports. It was a reflection on many different life issues. The new XM baseball radio show does not give Mark a legitimate venue to really utilize his creative talents. He is quite simply the best, most enjoyable talk show host I have heard in my 49 + years.

 | sportsradiolistener (0) 12/07/2005 | I'm with "Jim Fix". Patrick's act is lame as hell. If you need impressions and canned laughter with your sports, you're not a sports fan.
Rumor has it he got fired from local TV sports in Indy for trying to play salary hardball when CBS got the NFL years back. (Who remembers "Dirk La Neck"?) :-P
He's a total homer and his sports insight is nil.
He's best on satellite, that way if you want him you have to pay.
Seems right.

 | ViperVisor (0) 12/05/2005 | Sorta like the David Letterman on Sports Radio.
I remember when he annouced FOX radio didn't do a new contract with him. I was NONE too happy.
Since he left FSR my listening to FSR went from fairly regular to nearly 0. He influenced my listening that much.
Glad to here he landed on his feet and is now on XM radio. Too bad I can't hear him now and too bad he's probaly not in the best set up for his talents like he was on FOX Sports Radio.

 | bootydo7 (0) 10/20/2005 | what is big n***S?
I live in Connecticut & had the pleasure of listening to MP in the a.m. for about a year. Then one day the station was gone & so was Mark. As a 30 year with a broadcasting background, i found MP to be 1 of the funniest on air personalities I've ever heard. Baseball is the least of my favorite sports so i probably will NOT get XM. But let me tell everyone That this guys is GOOD!
MISS YOU MUCH IN THE MP, YOU ROCK.

 | Jim Fix (0) 09/12/2005 | As someone from Indianapolis, the home of Mark Patrick, I've seen him on tv and heard him on the radio for my whole life, and I can't say i'm unhappy about him being gone. Mark Patrick was a cocky, arrogant, jerk who didn't know jack about sports and knew even less about hosting a radio show. Give me JMV any day. I hope to never hear a crappy Bob Knight or Marge Schott impersonation again. good riddance.

 | Socko (0) 04/13/2005 | Terrible! Last summer I had MP in the morning on the national show, and on the way home on his local Indy show! Now, less than a year later, nothing! I want my MPOS!

 | gshood (0) 03/25/2005 | I've recently returned from an overseas deployment and was unhappy to find that MPOS was no longer in the Fox airwaves. Steve is OK, but doesn't bring the same punch to the broadcast through creativity or sports knowledge as Mark did.

 | towanka (0) 03/17/2005 | The most intelligent, witty, enigmatic host ont he planet and YOU LOST HIM!! What Morons! You were WAY off on this Fox! Every other host is sub-par. BRING HIM BACK ASAP!!

 | Bix in Camby (0) 03/03/2005 | I'm not breaking out the CDs. I'm breaking out the late 70s 8 tracks. WTF were they thinking. Maybe they were reading Dan Patricks ratings when they pulled the plug. Intellegent sarcasim and real sports knowledge. And to the naysayers...if you really pay attention...you will see who is recycling whom.

 | Alan Hornek (0) 02/26/2005 | I'm still reeling. It has gotten so bad on the radio since MPOS was taken off, I broke out my CD collection and refuse to listen to both the morning FOX show and the local show in the afternoon. Certainly I can't be the only one that sees how bad things have turned since MPOS was pulled.

 | MPOS Forever (0) 02/12/2005 | I really miss MPOS in the morning. I tried listening to Steve Czaban and he is OK, but is probably suited for a later time slot. Mark's show was unique. The audience that he built was loyal. That loyalty is a rare thing these days.

 | Fox No More (0) 01/12/2005 | Fox has screwed up by replacing Mark Patrick. His show was so original and different...now they have replaced it with the same stuff that everyone else does....a real shame !

 | dibbles52 (0) 01/10/2005 | I work 8am-5pm daily but always try to listen to MPOS; guess that'll change now that he's gone. He had more insight to ALL sports than anyone else plus he was funny at the drop of a dime. No one is as good - Karen Kay was so great with him on the air also.

 | FJRMAN (0) 12/30/2004 | I can't believe MPOS is gone. That was the ONE show I religiously listened to on XM. FOX Sports is falling apart. Losing Tony Bruno was bad enough, but this is ridiculous. Van Earl is absolutely un-listenable.

 | edgerr1n (0) 12/30/2004 | Ludicrous that MPOS is leaving the airwaves! I have been delivering papers for a couple years, and look forward to Mark, Sex, Karen, and the rest of the gang. I have also been listening to George before MPOS. There is NO comparison! I will have to listen to music on the FM side from now on. In my opinion, FOX is making the wrong decision letting him go. But what do I know... I am just a listener.

 | SteveC43 (0) 12/30/2004 | It sucks its going away. Mark's my favorite sports personality of all time. Those that think he's arrogant don't get it I guess. He makes me laugh every day to boot. I'll miss him.

 | wickedbrew (0) 12/30/2004 | One of the best shows on Sports radio. Innovative, smart, and funny as hell. Mark Patrick is genius and his work makes the boring, drama of sports funny and real.

 | crdnl1 (0) 12/23/2004 | One of the most entertaining shows ever!! Finally a host that's cordial to callers.... he knows more about sports than most of the other hosts, but he's not at arrogant about it. Great voices, humor and all revolving around sports. What the hell are FOX suits thinking by dumping his show??? No more FOX for me!!

 | newbie (0) 11/09/2004 | Agree totally with dwieg. Patricks arrogance is nauseating. And, hes just not in the know like hed like his listeners to think he is. Too many times I see him recycle newspaper columnists or other commentators thoughts as his own. I stopped listening to national show long ago and dont listen a lot any more to the local show. Unfortunately, his replacement has sort of taken on his personna.

 | btmuzdream (0) 10/08/2004 | Mark, having been a part of a morning zoo type show, does a great job of mixing that format with a sports talk show. Between some dead on impressions and his amazing memory of sports, this show provides a different and fun way to talk sports. Is that really Bob Knight or Howard Cosell? GREAT! Mark You rock
