My Grandfather didn't come here for nothing. Ireland's too cold, too wet, and way too puritanical for me.

I wouldn't mind moving to Ireland at all, since I am of Irish descent.

Having grown up in an Irish neighborhood, I've been really saturated w/all things Irish, so really no desire or interest. It might be a good place to get drunk though.

Visit, yes. Live, no. It's pretty, but there are a raft of reasons my ancestors left. Some of those have been fixed, but a lot haven't, and some new reasons have developed in the decades since.

I have a general rule that I only hang around countries that have the Writ of Habeas Corpus, and I think that Ireland fills the bill.

In Britain they tell jokes about the Irish. In the US it used to be Portiguise or polish jokes. In Ireland they tell jokes about the Irish. It all look pretty until the bombs start to go off. Don't belive all the movies and be prepare to grow gills as it rains a lot.

I'd like to visit, my paternal ancestors came from Cork, but not live there.

A country that never goes to war for retarded reasons (like a certain country that many of us live in), Ireland would be a nice place to live.

My daughter studied here for a semester and fell in love with Northern Ireland. I would love to live there for a while at least, either in Northern or the Republic. I've heard that the people are friendly and the country side is breath taking, esp. near the coast.

Oooooh, to live in the Irish countryside would be heavenly. I could spend my days writing novels and staring out at rolling, green hills. Sounds like a lovely dream.

I would move to this beautiful country, maybe in 20 years once global warming raises the yearly average temperature by 10 degrees or so.
