Why not? It is the place where JFK and Marilyn lived out their days after faking their deaths, after all...

1 Star....not interested in this place.....I guess if I had to go, I'd spend my entire time at the Lindt chocolate factory.

I only spent three days in Switzerland, and it was not nearly enough. The pictures i had seen, people discribing it to me, nothing couold have prepared me for what I saw. Absolutely the most beautiful place I have ever been. The locals were friendly, the architecture beautiful, and the gorgeous natural surroundings seemingly endless. I went with a group of band students from my state and the last day there, we held a concert in their town meeting hall. The locals were an awsome crowd, and afterwards, they invited us to stay for a polka. Sounds corny, but it was a lot of fun. I got to play one of those huge horns from the Ricola commercials (which I believe is called an Alphorn?) Overall, my favorite place that I have been. Now living there is another matter, when the average chateau costs 650,000 USD then you have a problem.

I loved Switzerland when I visited there a few years ago. I spent most of my time near the tourist town of Lucerne. For what it was the people were very helpful and nice. The food was good, I felt safe there. The mountains were beautiful and many people spoke English. Changing money was easiest here too.

As a place to visit, it deserves five stars because it really is great! But as a place to live I really couldn't tolerate the fact that they manage to stay neutral!

I've never been here and don't know too much about it except that it is mountainous and manages to remain neutral in war times. Photos I've seen of Switzerland are absolutely breath taking. Trouble is, I grew up in very flat land and heights scare me silly. Other than that, I'm sure it would be a fascinating place to live.

Couldn't move here, I don't ski and I'm rarely neutral about anything.
