These guys are fags with one of the gayest names in rock music. Scotch emo/punk makes me want to vomit far before scotch whisky ever could.

Overrated. They aren't terrible, but I prefer Modest Mouse

Most ledgendary, funky band of the last few years. Such cool rhythms are worthy of a lot more than 2.73, come on.

There's something deeply cynical about bands which nick most of their ideas from lesser known cult bands from way back and pass them off as their own. FF are one such mob, recycling tunes by 80s Scottish cult acts such as Josef K, Orange Juice and the Fire Engines, not to mention Talking Heads. So, just in case you think they're original and different, they're not.

Wow. Do these guys rock or what? Franz Ferdinand is one of the few bands of this era that I actually like. They're an alternative group, yet with a sound that is not at all "alternative-y" in the traditional sense. It's a distinct sound all their own where each piece on the album busts out with the groovy fluidity of a roller coaster. Check out "Darts of Pleasure" and "40'".

Their sound is awesome and retro, and even your parents would like it. Their talent is incredible - could you do the bass part in Jaqcueline? I'm assuming not.

I find them to be worth the hype, but not as good as an epic band such as U2.

Only new band I listen to. Great music, love the bass line. Clever lyrics. Alex Kapranos is very charismatic.

Take Me Out is awesome. And they sound a lot like David Bowie.

These guys flat out rock. At times they remind me of U2 from the early days - some of the guitar riffs could have been right off of War. They are supposed to be nuts in concert - I will find out next month. Their album just got added to iTunes - definitely worth a listen. ** Update ** I saw them in concert and they didn't rock. The music's still good, but these guys are MTV wannabes - striking a pose on stage, and strutting around like a boy band.
